Judah has so much talent that it's sad that he's not up there with the other top guys. I often forget that Judah was WW champ at one point.

Well I agree with what most of you are saying, he has a total lack of focus. It's like he almost doesn't give the sport that has given him so much, any respect, because he doesn't seem to have any real dedication in trying to improve himself, and doesn't have the drive to make the most of his skills. It's like he's just skating along for paychecks these days.
I mean, you know he's on a down slide when a shower door gets the best of him.![]()

One right hand from Kostya Tszyu and it kept going down hill from there.

He's put on some poor performances too - That 10 rounder against that no name where he should have won way more comfortably - Although he probably won most rounds, it should have been easier work. He just doesn't make the adjustments.
I agree with changing the team for the better...but is it a bit late in the day?
Judah made one mistake, he believed his friends when they said he was great. He only wanted to be champion and didn't have the tools to defend the title. he was not a grown up and he stopped sticking to a game plan and when Kostya Tyzu showed him the manly art of self defense, he slid down a mudslide and his confidence went south but he never really put in 100 per cent to begin with and he never adapted to change.

Those shower doors can really take it out of ya![]()

...cause he talks more about winning fights than acutally winning them.

He looked great till Tszyu smashed his arse, he showed a few glimpses of his great ability at times since, he is just mentally weak. The throwing of stools and the glove in the ref's neck stand out a bit, that's just not on at all.

He is 35,000 years old after all, father time catches up with us all

Judahs career started to crumble once he fired Lou Duva and Ronnie Shields from his corner and replaced them with his father in order to keep the money in the family. Duva and shileds were a good influence and kept him grounded in the ring. At one point he was even pile drived by a tall fighter (wilfredo negron) after ducking and getting his head caught between the guys knees. With a cut on the forehead, he didnt go crazy and throw a chair or start choking his opponent. He went back to his corner, got his instructions came back out and beat Negron senseless.
I think his first fight with his dad in the corner may have been David Sample. Judah knocks sample down and hits him while hes down. The second fight was Jan Bergman (Judah had to get off the canvas to win).. 3rd fight was Terron Millet (again had to get off the canvas to win), after that was the Kostya Tszyu fight... (no recap necessary)... The downward spiral only stopped briefly so he could beat Spinks in the rematch with a few secs to go. Throw in the few times he was robbed .. and his dad impersonated him on a teleconfrencing call and the picture of the circus is complete.
How much can you gain from coming back to your corner after getting your butt kicked and have to dodge punches from dear old dad.. While hes screams "BAM BAM BANG BOOM POW" like john witherspoon? In the movie A Bronx Tale, Robert Deniro's character told his son the saddest thing in life, is wasted talent. Sad indeed.
They want your @$$ beat because upsets make news. News brings about excitement, excitement brings about ratings. The objective is to bring you up to the tower and tear your @$$ down. And if you don't believe that, you're crazy.
