It's the other most popular social networking site now after Facebook.

Basically it's just status updates that people post throughtout the day, and others can follow you, which means they subscribe to your status updates.

There are a ton of celebs on there now, along with fake celeb ones too although the genuine ones are well known.

I don't use it myself but I have a mate who follows several people on there.

I think it's popular with the iphone crowd and mobile internet uses who enjoy getting the status updateds, not sure how many people access the site from their laptops and desktops.
