Same face, same result. King wins again..

And don't get me started on the Kennedy assassination (only kiddin!)
If that was the case why did King not FIX Valuev's fight with Holyfield who is still the biggest name in the division even if he is 10 years past his best.?

Haye cannot be compared to Tyson and Holyfield, he has worked his way to a title without really earning it. It is a very poor division. Look at how many fights Holyfield had to go through to get a shot at Buster. Haye would not have survived those battles.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.

Tyson wasn't even 6 ft I believe, but I agree with your point about American fighters going to other easier sports. Unfortunately it's the nature of the game, fights are too infrequent and there can only really be one true champion. The reason the heavies are packed with europeans is because we have no sport that is as extreme as American Football when it comes to physique. I truely believe there is more than one Roy Jones playing in the NFL right now.
Really?? I can't comment because it is not a sport I know a single thing about. I've herad the same thing said about Basketball but again can't comment.

For a British fighter to win in Germany on points by running away you've got to check out the power behind that fight. I think there are promoters behind that fight that saw that the money to be made for themselves on future matches against smaller fighters (John Ruiz, Don?) would be much greater if David got the nod!

Clear your diaries because Haye will fight the Klitschko's in 2013, after he's taken care of the real cream of the heavyweight crop like Ruiz, Rahman, Botha, Oquendo, etc....

As soon as Don King's hairy mop came into the picture it all became clear. He may have been making a few dollars from Valuev's fights in Germany but the rest of the world would'nt pay shit to sit through one of Valuev's bore-a-thons.

Enter David Haye, and Don's chance to cash in on his worldwide marketability (good looks, hard punching etc...)..

But David did NOT rip the title away from the Beast and Nicolai deserved to win...

This was a promoter influenced verdict based on his own possible future earnings..

I'm in no doubt that we are going to get our moneys worth with David as HW king but it still stinks...

Just saw this post and you're exactly right. That fight was crooked. I don't know if Valuev was really trying to win or not, but even if I was I think he was told that if he couldn't knock Haye out he would not get the decision. Even the biased British tv announcers were shocked when Haye got the decision - but Haye and Valuev's corner seemed to know what was coming in advance. I've never seen anything like it, but after a very close (and horrible) fight Haye was up on the ring ropes celebrating before the (fake) decisions were announced, and Valuev and his corner didn't let out a peep of protest or even register disappointment (they need to give these guys some acting lessons).

I carefully re-watched this awful fight and objectively scored it, being as overly generous to Haye as I could, and the best I could come up with for him was a draw, which means that V should have retained his belt. I could post my r by r scoring. No one has legitimately challenged me on it.

And then this: Valuev was said to have a rematch clause with Haye. It seems that it had a time limit on it and they didn't take advantage of it, or so all the internet rumors are saying. WTF is that about? That's worth millions. Every fighter in the world, from the Golden Gloves on up, wants a million dollar opportunity to get a championship belt, even a fake one like the fake champ Haye has. And V's managers just let it slide? These would be the same managers who stood there sucking on their thumbs when Valuev was robbed of his belt by the crooked judges. Who are they really working for? They're not working for Valuev. I think they're working for the Mafiya and Don King.
