No suprise to me at all and all the bars had huge posters advertising the fight all week.

Are we not underestimating the pulling power of the Heavyweight division here just a bit?

it would have been the same buzz when Lennox was about and the Heavies have always been the Glamour division when it comes down to it...we just needed a haye to make us all realise.

OK he's no Ali, Tyson or even Lewis but he's got that swagger and attitude that has been missing.

So Proud of Haye for bringing a strap back to my Hometown and more importantly the UK.

I also feel a lot of the criticism he gets is mainly from jealous US fans as thay simply don't exist in the Division

I dont no mate this even eclipses Lennox Lewis's ppv numbers, I am very impressed I mean the two biggest Uk ( sky ) ppv numbers are:

Hatton v Mayweather 1.4 million
Lewis v Tyson 700k

Now if Haye equals the 700k reports saying he will beat that I think that is more impressive as Lewis was already an established undisputed number one in the world.

I actully think the recession has a positive effect on these 15 quid ppv's as more people are staying in these days and it's much cheaper to get a few people round buy a few drinks and watch boxing for 15 quid than going on a night out on the town.

Im really pleased as it's really good for boxing and maybe some of the free to air channels will take note and see boxing is still a huge event when it comes to viewing figures!!
