    Any smart boxer with a bit of speed and ability to get in and out quickly can beat Valuev. Valuev is pretty awful. He's a big man and he tries his best with what he's got, but it is very limited. I thought Chagaev did it far more impressively than Haye too.

    You could also make the exact same argument for either klitschko

    Are we now led to believe that due to the poor level of opposition out there they should also be disregarded as poor fighters?

    This is true, Valuev isn't all that good. He's just a problem because of unusual height and girth. If you are fast enough to let him swing at air or make him chase you around the ring whilst unloading a punch or two each round then you have him.
