When I used to box which was about 10 years ago I used to find it quiet relaxing as long as I changed the route from time to time.

For sprint training you find a nice flexible branch of willow, snap it off at about a 3 feet length ,find a copper on street duty and sneak up on him and wack him across the buttocks. Run, run real fast.

For endurance I find a naked barbie doll on a stick strung out in front of me.

A dog chasing you is good.
Or run through a very dangerous area. Its amazing how much more energy you can find when the streets are paved with crack heads.
