i would favour jcc over pac. but i might change my mind by the end of this weekend depending on what happens in the cotto fight. its better to gauge these dream fights when all is said and done and the fighters finished his career

pac beats chavez
dont ask me why....he just does
one dangerous horrible bloke
Depends at what weightclass to be honest, but all i know is that the JCC at the lighter weights was fantastic. And he was so accurate especially with his straight right hand, and body shots.
I can't see Manny Pacquiao beating JCC though now thinking about it. JCC's body work is too good, he's too accurate and he's too tough. People will say what about the Pernell Whitaker fight.
Well that was at Welterweight a division JCC didn't do great things at, plus Manny Pacquiao is no Pernell Whitaker especially at defense, Manny Pacquiao is very hittable.
Then there's Meldrick Taylor but then again, Meldrick Taylor fought the fight of his life. Manny Pacquiao isn't as fast as Meldrick Taylor, he doesn't put combination's together as well, and he isn't as skillful as a boxer as Meldrick Taylor.
I just think Manny Pacquiao would be too wide open to the body, and JCC would catch up to him eventually. I know Hector Camacho isn't as powerful or quite as good as Manny Pacquiao, but still he was a skillful Southpaw, and JCC had no trouble with the Southpaw stance.
Because he has a very good straight right hand, a Southpaw's biggest weakness. And a great body attack which he wouldn't have trouble finding against Manny Pacquiao, JCC by TKO in 10 or 11 IMO.

Duran KO's Pac.
Pac KO's or decisions Chavez.
I think prime Duran at lightweight would KO Pacquiao. While Pacquiao is obviously faster Duran's own speed was underrated. Duran had a great jab, head movement and overall defense despite being such a formidable offensive opponent. Duran was also great at feinting and would offset Pacquiao's timing. If SRL could not escape Duran in their first fight I don't see Pacquiao maintaining his balance and avoiding the ropes. Pacquiao would eventually bite the bait and try to match Duran's machismo. Pacquiao's lack of true inside game would come back to haunt him as Duran would methodically beat him up. Duran and Pacquiao are both emotional fighters but Duran couples this with ring intelligence proven throughout his whole career. Duran would not be as easy to turn as other "slow" opponents Pacquiao has fought as his contant yet tactical pressure would force Pacquiao to turn where he wanted. Whatever the outcome it would be a hell of a fight. At times, Pacquiao's movement before exchanges and tendency to express his disdain for his opponent's efforts remind me of Duran.
Against JCC I just see Pacquiao's overall speed of body being too much for Chavez. He would be in-sting-out so many times that JCC would eventually slow down even more and would be a trudging cut fest. I think that if Pacquiao tried that against Duran he would find himself being chased down the same way SLL did yet I don't think he has anywhere near the ring intelligence or natural disposition to avoid the overwhelming physicality of Duran anywhere near as well as Leonard did nor the slickness inside to avoid the inevitable punishment.

Roberto Duran was mean and he could really cross the line with the way he acted, but he backed it up and I don't think Manny would really appreciate Roberto's charisma...I don't see any fighters out there today that are as menacing as Duran was and the odd fact is Roberto was an EXCELLENT pure boxer, great defense, solid chin, good handspeed, and I don't see Manny Pacquiao taking the beating Ray Leonard did and lasting the distance.
These would be interesting matchups for Pacquiao though:
Naseem Hamed....I would have LOVED to see Naz get starched!
but seriously
Willie Pep
Salvador Sanchez
Alexis Arguello
Aaron Pryor
Carmen Basillio
Kid Gavilan
Azumah Nelson
Pernell Whittaker
Sugar Ramos
Sandy Saddler

Gotta go with Duran...he fights back and then some.Really would do a number with a darting in and out Manny and still not sold on Pacquiao fighting well backing up,and if anyone could back Manny and draw him into ...its a prime tenacious Duran.
Cannot pic Pac over Chavez either. If you ran, boxed 90% Chavez would eventually be standing on your chest. He had problems with at range boxers, with pop and side to side.I think he would just have far too much in punch selection,over/under and could be a fantastic inside fighter but indeed a slow starter.Pac would be in front of him eventually, and his body would pay a big price, there goes the legs and I dont see Pacs pop taking a huge toll on Chavezs cast iron head.
Wow Titofan you know your one of my favorite poster's here, but i couldn't disagree with you more, Manny Pacquiao KO's JCC ? no way in hell Manny Pacquiao more often than not, is an accumulation puncher. Plus JCC has one of the best chins of all time.
He took Edwin Rosario's best punches like it was nothing, and Edwin Rosario is one of the hardest hitting Lightweights of all time. In JCC's prime i never see him ever really hurt, i mean he was stunned a few times against Juan La Porte, but never anything serious.
