If he loses, Pacquiao will retire from boxing and will declare to concentrate his efforts to help the people in the Philippines through his planned political position. He will also possibly win the election.
I know that Team Pacquaio or Arum is planning a fight for Pac on March 2010 but I just can't see Pacquaio start his training on January.

On the other hand, I understand that Pac has already suffered a lot with all his wars especially against Morales, Marquez, and Cotto. I feel that he has suffered badly against Cotto and honestly, I want him to retire already. However, the fight with Mayweather will be historic and may catapult him to GOAT and this scenario is something that may not happen again during our lifetime.

Money aside, this fight will be considered the biggest fight in modern boxing history and that is more than getting an 8th division title.

The suspense is killing me. Pac needs to decide now... at least tell the public that he wants to fight Mayweather even with a ludicrous claim for a bigger share (let the promoters deal with the bargaining!)

The boxing world needs a "savior" for it to survive. Pacquaio can play that role and he should not dilly-dally.

Pacquaio will fight Mayweather next, nothing is more certain. March or April will be the month, Pacman will take 8 weeks off and commence full training mid January. 8-10 weeks full training means a late March early April fight night! I suspect the first Saturday after easter April 10th?

Who cares if not happen. Pacquiao don't need Mayweather Jr. to cement his legacy. He already did it without Floyd. Pacquiao is above Mayweather.

Pacquiao is running to make changes and to make different. Pacquiao wants to help his poor country man.

It would be funny if Pac blew Floyd off, and fought someone else....I would give him props for that.

There was an obvious edit to these Pac interview, but following his train of thought in his vernacular, he was saying or implying that he really prefers if it is PBF for the next fight, because he believes the more they talk, the more they should be shut up.

He really has no respect at all to people with skills in the art of verbal abuse. So much more for fighters whom on matters as such, need to actually talk less, and deal with business more with their fists.

I think there is a strong possibility if negotiations for a fight with Mayweather has too much foolishness, we may end up seeing a 140lb fight with the winner of Bradley/Peterson because of the mandatory defense and then possibly a unification fight with the Mosley/Berto winner to close out Pacquiao's career as a fighter.

The only fight Mayweather will be looking at is a rematch with Hatton. The only other match up that has potential to make a some money is a fight with Mosley, which I'm sure Mayweather won't do either and Mosley will wait for a last mega bout Pacquiao.

i agree with you. i even suggested that in another thread. all the fighters who floyd said should line up should just leave floyd in the dark.

as for manny running for congress, i dont think he will win. coz if people wanted him to win he would have. but filipnos are smart enough to keep him away winning some political position so he wont ruin his name.

After the money he could make from the Mayweather fight he might consider buying the Philippines and be ruler of it.

I agree with you. If he works from the ground up and improves peoples lives more power to him.

He wants to watch his ass though if he ever goes against all the money skimmers in every department; corruption at that scale cant be undone by one man even with all the public backing in the world and wont be undone without blood spilt.
That type of change has to evolve very slowly and naturally after you fix up the sufferers first.

    I can explain it.

I don't care how noble you may think someone is, another 30-40 million is enough to get anyone to train for 6 months and fight.

That's 1.4 Billion Pesos, that money could go a long way in fixing the infrastructure of the Phillipines.

That might build a bridge over a small river. But yea in the Philippines using the real cost you might get 50 miles of a two lane road. Corruption cost, you might get 10 miles.

I agree the smart thing would be to meet and work out a deal. $30 million is a lot of f*n money.

LOL. 1.4 billion pesos will not go a long way in the Philippines. More than 50% of it will be corrupted. I know. I'm an accountant.
