I remember Him Fighting in Manchester against the German Guy for the Title. His shoulder came out, me thinking thats His lot. Ive never been more wrong in my life, the next fight He beats the guy, cant remember his name in Germany. Dont know of anybody with more Heart, and yet that night in Manchester I thought He bottled it.Never thought that of a Fighter since . Great Fighter who never got His due or the great Payday, also I might add one nice Chap, respect

    Great fighter

The kind of guy who is physically and mentally just born to fight

Shame against the truly world class opponents he failed to re-adapt his style and almost seemed one dimensional in those situations

But it was only the elite operators who found him out. The others including Mr Haye just fell fail to his superior power and granite like chin
    one dangerous horrible bloke

Really enjoyed watchin his fights especially the Eubank bout unbelieveable how Chris made it through yet also played possom with him, then vice versa and Carl adopted the same tactic and caught Chris several times. Made Chris' eye a right mess after that fight

He was real life Rocky, how many time did he turn a fight with one punch. So much heart and resilience. I wish they allowed him to carry on against Johnny Nelson.

I live olny a few miles for Carl , and i have chatted with him many times . He was a real rock'em sock'em type fighter , who for me was far superior to Enzo Mac etc.
The German guy who he dislocated his shoulder against was Ralf Rocchigiani .
