    This is getting RIDICULOUS!
Why don't we just give Pacquiao all the surrounding belts plus make him some diamond, platinum, ruby belts for good measure. Hell, lets let him win the heavyweight belts at 145.

This is a prime example of why boxing needs a single governing body. With this kind of corruption, no wonder it's faded from mainstream sports. Pacman bringing boxing back? ..Or pushing it further back?

The fight should be done at 145 and the winner gets yet another new belt of some kind and Manny has to also put up his 140 and 147 WBO trinkets

Purse, 40/40 winner gets the additional 20.

Make this a small ring so Floyd can't run all night. Cotto ran and Manny could not really catch him, so what makes us think he will catch one of the greatest runners of all times?

Presently Pacquiao has 2 140 lbs. belts, the Ring and IBO belts aside from his newly acquired 147 belts.

Mayweather made 146 easy without a sweat in his last weigh-in. I think he could make 145 without problems. Pacquiao weigh-in at 144 last time out.

Mayweather-Pacquiao fight is not for any belt, be it the WW or Jr. WW belts. This fight is for the P4P#1 and Fighter of the Decade accolades. Any agreed contracted weight will do and 145 lbs. seems fair and sensible.

Not trying to hate bro but Mayweather did not make it without a sweat. He came 2 pounds over the limit against Marquez therefore had to pay a fined to him... /on another note.. This is ridiculously though Pacquiao is the 147 pound limit champion but has not and does not want to take the risk of fighting the max limit of 147.. smh

I've said this before, but I honestly think Freddie Roach gets the sympathy vote sometimes because he has Parkinsons.

He has come accross like a prick at times and talked trash but doesn't seem to get picked up for it.

I made my mind up about him when he said he knew Manny was gonna beat De La Hoya the day after the weigh in when he saw I.V marks in his arms used for rehydration. Basically, knowingly making Oscar come down that low for the reason that he'd be weight drained.

He might as well have said "I wanted Manny to beat a dead body in there" - A very coniving (sp?) move that could have lead to a death in the ring.

So you mean Roach is a Nostradamus coz he knew very well in advance that Oscar will be weight drained, that Hatton will fall inside 3 rounds and Pacquiao will demolish Cotto?

They are putting the bout at 145 against Floyd so that they would get some money. Everybody knows Floyd will come in overweight like he did against Marquez.

Roach knows Manny can fight at 147 limit, the thing is he will need to challenge guys to make that weight, and make some money out of it too. You see he told the everyone that it will be OK if Cotto will come in at 147, the show will go on (with 2million penalty of course), but if Cotto surpass 147, then the he call the bout off. That is the welterweight limit. If Cotto came in at 147 he will not be stripped off his belt, he will just be fined heavily, that's it.

If Roach gives in on 147, Floyd will come over 150. If thats 1million a pound over 147, then thats 3 million -- and it means nothing to Floyd if his "undefeated status" is on the line.

I have absolutely no problem with the Pacman weighing 145, but if he's fighting at welterweight, then his opposition should damn well be able to weight up to the limit of 147, this should not even be up for debate really. It was dissapointing enough to see Cotto get the thumbed into fighting at 145. It must stay a one off man......

On the other hand, if there is one guy who will just say "see you later" to a stupid weight demand its Mayweather. He'll please himself i would have thought and go fight someone else.

he doesn't have to. Nothings wrong if the 147 pound champ wants to come in at 145. No rule against that. But his opponents shouldn't be made to make the same weight. They should be able to weigh in from 141 to 147 at the weigh in. if Manny only wants to weigh in at 145 thats fine. but thats a personal preference, HIS personal preference, his opponent shouldn't have to do the same.

Floyd can come in at 146 or at 147 but he has to pay some penalties like what he did in his JMM fight where he came in 2 lbs. over the agreed contracted weight and paid $600,000 penalty.

The fight is off if anyone will come in more than 2 lbs. over the agreed contracted weight.

Mayweather is a cunning sonova beach. Freddy is looking to create any possible advantage he can for his fighter. If you don't think Floyd is trying to do the same thing, then your eyes are not open.

When your are king of the hill and can leverage laws or rules to protect your position. You will do that. Let the chess match begin. Go Freddy go!!!

Bro this PBF-Pacquiao fight does not need to fall exactly in a division limit. This fight is about the best fighting the best. This is for P4P#1 and Fighter of the Decade status.

In coming up with the weight, we will consider what's the best compromise weight between the 2 boxers and I think 145 lbs. is it based on their last weigh-in weights.

Anyway they can agree to have the weigh-in weight peg at 145 and Floyd has the options to come in at 146 or 147 but he has to pay some penalties like what he did in his JMM fight where he came in 2 lbs. overweight and paid $600,000 penalty.

The fight is off if anyone will come in more than 2 lbs. over the agreed contracted weight.
