For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.
Wow not a single reply, a little disappointing I did a little research on this and each fighter is given a padrino, which trains them and works the corner the padrinos are Mexican legends Ruben Olivares, Chucho Castillo, Alfonso Zamora, Victor Rabanales, Carlos Zarate, Daniel Zaragoza, Ultiminio Ramos, Jose Luis Bueno, Juan Paredes, Cesar Bazan, Jose Antonio Aguirre, "Chiquita" Gonzalez, Gabriel Bernal, Jorge "Travieso" Arce, Julio Cesar Chavez, and Pipino Cuevas.
Also the winner of the Featherweight tourney gets a contract to fight Elio Rojas who just won the WBC Featherweight title from Takahiro Aoh.

i'm a big fan of this tournament and have watched every episode on the tv. by the way, does anybody have the results of these 4 fights? i saw the miguel roman beating daniel ruiz and it was a total beatdown. roman really punished the youngster ruiz and stopped him. now it sets up miguel roman vs. miguel beltran jr. who by the way, is my personal favorite to win this featherweight tournament. but the way roman went through ruiz it's going to be tough for beltran jr. to win. he has the superior skills but roman is as tough as they come.
at lightweight, at first i thought reyes sanchez was going to beat ivan valle but valle looked so strong in beating enrique colin that now i'm not so sure. this one is a toss up for me. however, i've got ricardo dominguez to take the campeon azteca lightweight title.
I havent been tunnin in.
Are the fightz good?
some of these fights have been nothing less than mexican civil wars. these guys are going in there trying to decapitate each other. great stuff!
