It's a major problem in rural societies overall mate. They have an almost identical problem among the Mormon community in the US, with some of its leaders practicing paedophilia on a wide scale to keep themselves young or some bollocks like that.

Rape & paedophilia are not specific to any race more than another, they are societal problems.

South Africa as a whole has a major problem with regard to rape though, although as you say it is a much more mixed-race country than any other in Africa.

There was a survey this summer on it & the guy who conducted it says he believes it's because of the individual situation of South Africa's history.
