what you on... try reading all the posts before you go off on a rant.
Whos ranting? and have you read these threads lately. All I have seen is Taylor hate
    re read this thread
I made this thread because of all the taylor hate and winky love in all the other threads thats all. I appreciate you and some of the others in this thread calling it like it is, thats me too. I think it was a great fight, I think they should do it again. I like winky too. But I dont like to see him cry like a baby when he should be happy with a re match that jermaine clearly offered him or anyone else in the ring during larry merchants interview.

Winky was not robbed. I had Taylor by a point. The only way this fight is similar to the Vargas fight is that Wright again allows himself to be out worked in the final rounds.

The only person robbed was Taylor. He deserved the win. Winky had his chance in the last two rounds with taylor damaged, and he chose not to take it to him. He sat back and didn't throw many punches. His own fault for not grasping the brass ring when it was in his control to do so.

Exactly. Winky was being a baby last night. First, not being professional enough to stay in the ring and do an interview and making HBO go back to his locker room to interview him and then calling this fight equal to the Vargas fight and whining about the result when everyone (including me) had Winky by one point going into the last round, a round that he decided to take off for some reason. That's the problem with great boxers, sometimes they try and score the fight in their heads, instead of trying to fight all 12 rounds. If Winky doesn't wanna rematch then he should go fight JoeCal.

It was a very close fight, closer than both the Hopkins Taylor fights in my opinion but a draw was fair.

I do think the swelling clearly affected Jermain in the last couple rounds so I'd favour him to beat Winky in a rematch.

Winky did a great job though, and it was probably the best and most competative fight of the year so far.

10/10 for excitment, gotta see it again.

You've got to be kidding me. JT, shows class and says how great a fighter winky is. I get tired of all this crap about JT. If winky or bhop had gotten decisions over JT, everyone would give all credit to them and say how great they are. All you JT haters kiss need to accept the MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMP AND SHOW A LITTLE RESPECT! Winky dont even want to fight JT again. HMMM..... could it be because JT hurt winky like hes never been hurt in a fight before? I think so.
he was interviewed after a tremendous fight.....If you weren't emotional after a fight like that you're not just wrong you're dead....he was just frustrated....he won the fight...and he was frustrated...
It feels good to be back home.

I think you had 1 too many mojitos at ringside. 116 to 112 is just nonsense. Were you judging on how many times they flinch or something?

Don't think moving up again would be good 4 Winky, He looked bothered by Taylor's power and JC a big supermiddle weight, I think he should take the rematch and probably will when he's time to calm down and look back at the whole thing. It was a great fight, I thought the draw was a fair result so lets see it again!!

Winky is a baby, he's damn lucky he got the draw considering Taylor is the champion and did enough to win...He got outworked, simple as.
And the fight with Vagras wasn't robbery and could of gone either way

Thats a decent point you've made ONE, I always feel it us up to the challenger to take the belts off the champion to some degree. I still feel the result was a pretty decent one as it was a close contest and a cracking one at that. With the point about taking the belts off the champion I reckon that is why Hopkins was pretty unlucky to lose the first fight with Taylor and in an very similar second contest the result was right. Good old boxing eh - youve got to love it.

Winky is a baby. i bet he was so shocked to realise how good a boxer/puncher taylor is!
    excellent skill man!
At times WINKY was getting out jabbed, even his own crowd looked worried towards the end!
winky even got rocked a couple of timez. I REALLY DONT KNOW WHAT IN THE BLUE MOON MADE HIM THINK HE WAS WINNING IN THE 12TH that made him start dancing around like a little girl. WATCH JEFF LACY IN THE BACK GROUND TELLING HIM TO FINISH IT, COS HE KNEW THE SCORE!

Ever since Taylor beat hopkins, i knew he was special, especially after the hopv tarver, no matter how boring the fight, i knew taylor had the brains of a boxer, and could fight etc, he will make a lot of defenses of the title in the future.

by the way it was nice to see LACY in the crowd (he was infront of mayweather jr) does anyone know whats happening with him, there is hardly any mention of him. has he changed his style a little, is he improving? has he improved?

Taylor made it look like more of a fight than it actually wasm by staying in the corners too much. Winky totally dominated the corner action, while taylor totally dominated in the center of the ring. If there is a rematch, i would suggest Taylor stay the hell out of the corners and keep those damn hands up.

The last I heard he was going back into the gym in May after a vacation and he will fight in October. This was all from a March interview. Dying to hear more.

    Taylor's good points:

    has a high workrate
    good power
    fast

    bad points:

    sloppy and wild
    bad defense
maybe a stamina issue, via the last few rounds where he seems to be gassed

You could be right about the stamina issue but I don't think the state of his swollen eye gave him much chance in the last couple of rounds. You need to be fully functioning when you are in against guys as good as winky. Think Taylor did well in the last couple of rounds considering his lack of vision.
