De La Hoya was 35 and looking for a few last paydays, Hatton was drained to get back down to 140 and had already been stopped by Mayweather, Cotto had taken a beating from a (maybe) plaster handed Margarito. eanwhile, Mayweather looked pretty good beating Juan Manuel Marquez. If Manny forces the action, Floyd will be too elusive and nullify him with defense. If Floyd takes the initiative and comes forward, Manny could get lucky with a powerful counter punch and surprise Floyd, but I think Mayweather will make Manny come to him. I see Floyd winning a decision.
you could also say mayweather looked good in beating an old bloated marquez whose best fighting weight is at 130lbs. i think a lot of people are looking too much into that floyd win. honestly i think pac would beat mayweather pound for pound, that is if they were the same size. but being the naturally bigger fighter i'd give him the slight edge having the longer reach and better skills. i'm hoping pac's natural physical abilities, heart and determination will pull him through though.
