I'm clutching at straws here of course. This is a MEGA fight that would need months for promotion purposes...

Yeah, I have to admit Killersheep's probably right.

On the positive side: Neither fighter took much damage (except maybe Pac's eardrum?) in their last fight. Both fighters are really buzzed up right now, and this is the fight people want to see, so it's really got a built in pre-promotion. If Manny is serious about a political career, everyone involved maybe desperate enough to pull this off now, in fear of the chance slipping away forever.

It just seems too fast and easy for this fight to be made this soon. I thought it would be months for this type of fight to be finalized with negotiating ring size, weight to be fought at, gloves used, venue for where the bout will take place, percentage of the purse, etc.

I was thinking at the earliest it would have been somethng like late June for the bout to take place.
