So I guess PBF wasn't so difficult to deal with seeing as this took less than 2 weeks of negotiations.

Also does this mean we can put these ridiculous Matthew Hatton stories to bed? I mean Foreman was clearly mentioned by Roach as a possible opponent, whilst the only guy mentioned for Mayweather by people associated with him was the Mosley-Berto winner.

Although I agree with others that March is a bit early & isn't the best time for a Vegas fight, which normally are most favoured for May/June or September-December

I think we all thought that if these negotiations dragged on it would be because of Floyd. But the fact that Floyd is jumping at this, aside from the obvious $$$$ potential, shows he wants this fight to prove he is still the pfp champ. Both these guys train so hard...but i think Floyd is fired up for this one and is going to try and make a point. Pac is the best fighter he has faced...so you know he will train like a madman. The buildup for this fight will be EPIC!!!

The latest is Pac is not willing to fight till after May:

This is what his lawyer said:

According to Manny's lawyer, Franklin Gacal, Manny doesn't want to fight until after the May elections in his home country. No fight in March or even May, most likey after.

Gacal: "As of last nite, Manny said he doesn't want to fight in April or even May. There will be no fight. Maybe it will come after the elections. Everything will depend on the developments after the elections. But, again as of last nite, the March 13 and May 1 dates for Pac's next fight are out."

Yeah I read that earlier today. All that talk about how Mayweather couldn't be negotiated with. And how he don't really want the fight. And here we have Pacquiao obviously trying to postpone in hopes of canceling. Really it isn't much of a surprise. Mayweather is pretty much the first opponent Pacquiao would have faced that didn't have some kind of question mark around him coming into the fight. Pacquiao has a nice little charade going on right now with the media and the naive Boxing fans. Mayweather ruins that.

I agree to an extent. I would never accuse Manny of being afraid of anyone...one thing there is no questioning...the guy is fearless. That being said...Roach knows damn well that Floyd is no Oscar, Hatton, or Cotto....in fact he is by far the most skilled fighter Pac will have ever faced. Roach has been very smart in who he has picked to face Manny in the last three fights...but this fight is happening because the market demands it...not because Freddie thinks manny will have the best chance. Roach knows he has to add some new wrinkles to Manny's game in order to beat a fighter of Mayweather's caliber. I am not saying Pac doesn't have a chance (in fact Pac is the best fighter Floyd has faced in his career as well)...but Manny and Roach will have to produce something truly special to beat Floyd. I still have a strong feeling Mayweather puts on a boxing clinic. I cannot imagine what the buildup for this fight will be like...insane!

no idiot would do it in manila.i dont think anybody fancy floyd there. i dont think floyd would go past the airport parking lot even with his bodyguards with him let alone after the fight. and he wont be able to play his antics over there anyway and that would be a boring 24/7.
