    Round 9

Ornelas looking to change his plan, or maybe not. Hopkins slaps him with a few jabs. And a clinch. Hopkins keeping the jab in Ornelas' face seems to nullify any attack another strong right for Hopkins. Ornelas tries to smother and lands a nice shot. Ornelas looking to have a little confidence, but his legs aren't fresh at all, call me crazy, but I gave the one to Ornelas.

    87-84 Hopkins

Just not sure.Think for what Ornelas lacks in skill and speed,he makes up for in grit and durability that Dawson does not seem to show all the time.Think Hopkins could cause Dawson bad problems in close,in the trenches.
Hopkins has been warming up more as the fight has gone on, but I'm still not sure about where he is at. Same old Hopkins, just older and older.

    Round 10

Ornelas leads off with a nice combo. Hopkins starts doing the wind up. And a clinch. Ornelas lands a short left hook. some posturing Ornelas charges again looking like he's caught his breath. Body grab and head shots from Ornelas gets a legit warning from the ref.Hopkins lands a good right, Ornelas lands a few not so good shots. Nice uppercut by Hopkins. Ornelas trying to force his way in and Hopkins drives him back. Hopkins again

I think his timing and legs are there.....but as has been my problem last few yrs...so is the waiting and appreciating his own work too much.He really has had Ornelas in check for last half of fight, cat and mouse.Think he might close it IF he pushed it.Has not relied entirely on right hand also, good mix.

    Round 12

And they both come out banging at the bell. a clash of heads and some super noticable swelling around Ornelas' eye. and a clinch. Ornelas trying to work his way in and the Hopkins arm bar comes into play. Hopkins turns into a beast weaving in with uppercuts Tyson style. Ornelas looks hurt. Ornelas stumbling in now. Ornelas still trying to wade in and Hopkins catches him with another uppercut. The last 15 seconds were Hopkins whaling away the ref stepped in to stop it but the bell rang just a second before.

    117-111 Hopkins.

Clear win for Hopkins, he gradually went up a gear or two. He actually looked impressive in the 12th. He looked alright, I guess.

I had that 118-110 for Hopkins, only could really give Ornelas rounds 1 & 4. I think he could've taken him out, but I suspect like Mayweather against Marquez, he held back a bit to get the rounds in. This wasn't as impressive as that though, Ornelas is much better than many give him credit for, I thought he beat McKart, Soliman & Rubio & I would consider him a similar calibre of opponent to Danny Green.

Man, watching Jones there is painful. Haha @ Hopkins, no way is the Jones-Hopkins fight going to happen, it's Roy's own fault for not throwing back. B-Hop's take on geography is a bit lacking, he seems to think Australia is in Europe

So did he look old or rusty? Or both? Or maybe Ornelas looked good, I'm going to download it soon.
