How is Pacman stallingMayweather has agreed to the terms and Arum is flying to visit Pacman. Has Manny turned down the fight?

LOL! Awesome.I totally agree. That sounds like Mayweather terms too.
He is a crafty dude, though. He knows that as many people watch his fights to see him loss as to see him win, if not more. He doesn't care whether he's the good guy or the bad guy.
Mayweather's terms are ridiculous most of the time. Hell, he might say he wants the fight at 154 for all we know.![]()

Mayweather agrees to fight Pacquiao, but under what terms?
Well, a lot have been said about Floyd Mayweather Jr. allegedly agreeing to fight Manny Pacquiao but ironically, nobody is reporting the terms of what "Money" agreed to.
Bob Arum is reportedly on his way to hand deliver the paper work for the Filipino Icon to sign-on to. I see red flags everywhere.
Not to be Mr. Thunder Cloud on this parade but the last time I checked, Mayweather and Arum did not see eye-to-eye. For them to almost instantly agree on something is quite mind-boggling unless of course it's quite the favorable deal for Money May.
Secondly, for Arum to personally fly to the Philippines to sell this contract to Manny to me seems well, like there's a lot of selling needed to be done. Something just sounds off to me. Perhaps they want to catch Pacquiao off guard and put a gun to his head and agree to the fight the world wants to see. Also, Arum might want to personally discuss contingency plans already with Manny knowing the contract at hand might not really stick.
And there's the rumors that Mayweather has been training already for a fight in Britain. This could easily be a bluff to put the pressure on Pacquiao so he can say "Well, I agreed to fight PAcquiao but he didn't want to so I'm moving on to fight someone else." Like I stated, nothing has been disclosed on the terms of the contract Mayweather agreed to. This may very well just be an initial offer and a long winding negotiations process is likely to follow, but with the move, Mayweather strategically put the pressure on Pacquiao and again got him some publicity that he can use for a possible fight in England.
This fight will definitely happen, but as for reports that it's happening in March, well, I won't get my hopes up just yet. If Pacquiao's history of contract negotiations is any indication, this is but the beginning of this epic saga. Let the games begin!
Super fight in jeopardy: Pacquiao wants 60-40 purse for Mayweather fight.
************************************************** ******
I don't understand whats going on here; do Pac and Roach want this fight?
The negotiations between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather may have hit a brick wall with the news that Pacquiao wants a bigger share of the purse than Floyd. Mayweather has apparently already signed for a fight in March, and Bob Arum is in the Philippines now talking to Manny about the terms of the deal.
While many people suspected that the talks would hit a snag at some point most thought that this would come from Floyd Mayweather and Golden Boy rather than Pacquiao.Speaking to the L.A Times Freddie Roach said:
"Manny believes he should get a 60-40 [purse] split too, because he did better in pay-per-view than Mayweather this year. Manny's the bigger draw."
"March 13 is too fast a turnaround," Roach said. "Manny has a broken [right] eardrum" suffered in the Cotto fight. "I'd like to have more time. I hope the fight happens, yes, but I want us to be in the best possible shape."

It seems particularly odd that Manny has made this claim after his trainer, Freddie Roach said recently that a 50/50 split would get the fight made. Whether or not either fighter is more deserving of a bigger split, demanding to get the bigger share is almost certain to raise the ire of prospective opponent Floyd Mayweather, who rightly or wrongly believes that he is the better fighter.
As far as Floyd Mayweather is concerned, a smaller share of the purse will probably not be acceptable to his ego, pride or claims that he is the best fighter in the world.
To let Pacquiao take the bigger purse is almost to admit that he is the better and more popular fighter, which are both things that Floyd has contested vehemently in the past.
The truth of the matter is that neither factor is clearly in favor of either fighter. The best fighter will have to be contested in the ring if the fight now happens. and the most popular can be argued for either given the mixed bag of pay per view sales either has achieved.
I knew people would find a way to somehow turn this around on Mayweather. Hilarious how Pacquiao is the one holding up the deal and the fanatics just refuse to accept it. If this the was the other way around Mayweather would've gotten about 1000 ducking articles. Look, obviously the terms are decent if even Arum, who promotes Pac, ran with it. Your promoter is sent wth certain criteria to negotiate with. Arum did his job. And Pacquiao didn't turn down the terms. Pacquiao is shying away due to the dates. Pacquiao has turned down the dates. Plain and simple. Arum made it clear that Pacquiao doesn't want the dates. Even in this article Arum is saying the dates aren't agreeable. If it was the terms he would've stated such. Mayweather agreed to all the dates Arum suggested and now Pacquiao is shying away from anything before May. The fight can still be made. All isn't lost but Mayweather is the first one to agree and only an imaginative in denial mind can blame Mayweather at this point. Even Arum indicates that.

It's hard to believe that we have another nine months of negotiation rumors.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.
We've heard all this with Pacquiao-Barrera II, and every fight afterwards except the Diaz fight. Pacquiao has always allegedly shyed away from fights, but I don't think he will expect 60/40 in the end. I also wouldn't be surprised if he didn't face Floyd because this a fight he can't win IMO, I think that March would be a bad date for him, with his ear I am not sure how long it would take before he could start sparring, and Roach has a lot to work on if he wants Manny to be competitive with Floyd, I honestly think they would have to change his style drastastically which they could do 5-6 months, but not in 2-3.

They are just using the medias to pressure each others. There is too much money at stake not to happen, either would be it in march or june, everybody wants a share of Gargantua's pie, from the VEgas resorts to the promoters without forgetting HBO and cie. It will happen and a deal will be made, we should all, matter of fact, not even bother with these details and wait for the official announcement.

what deal? did mayweather sign? under what terms? obviously its all talk. i could say on national tv i want to fight pacman but i didnt say the terms. so does that mean that hes ducking me.all bs. where is your proof that mayweather agreed to all the terms arum suggested. its all about the money for arum. if he suggest the fight to be in january that dont mean that team pac has to accept it coz his promoter said so. is arum the one fighting that he's giving mayweather the dates he wanted? and whos blaming mayweather?

You just don't get it. Arum, the opposing promoter, said Mayweather agreed to the terms. There's your source. A man who is paid to negotiate for Pacquiao has said in plain english that Mayweather agreed to the terms both parties negotiated. Thats the proof. Are you saying that Arum has lied? Why would he lie in favor of the opposing fighter who he hates? Why would he fly all the way to the Phillipines if he didn't have Mayweather's word to agree to the terms?
I agree that it's just terms, but you think Arum is going to negotiate a 99/1 split? There's a gag order, but obviously Arum feels the deal is fair for both fighters or he wouldn't even approach Pacquiao with such an offer. Before negotiations Team Pacquiao tells their negotiater what to ask for and how far they are willing to compromise. If these demands weren't atleast met half way, why would Arum even agree to them? Why would Arum even approach Pacquiao with them?

Obviously even before the Cotto fight, Pac had planned to take time off, as he stated in the post fight interview... He obviously planned to take time off right through his election, and then fight after that was all done..
He'd probably set it in stone with himself and with Roach etc...
But Arum wants his pay day as soon as possible, he's gone straight out and got Mayweather on board, and now he has to go tell his client (whom would have told Arum even before Cotto that he's not fighting again until after his election) that he's pretty much signed a done deal with Mayweather and he has to fight on March 13...
I understand where Arum is coming from, and really hope Pac takes the fight.... But if I was Pac i'd be pissed off having organised when the next fight will be, and probably having Arum on board with him,,, then while he's off planning his holiday and election, Arum is off organising a fight for him right when he's on his planned break..
It's like Golden Boy Promotions pretty much organizing a done deal fight for Floyd while he was retired (read, taking 2 years leave)...
Like I said, I hope Pac fights, but Arum is pushing something that he would have known Pac wouldn't want because he had planned to focus on his election and have a break after the Cotto fight... Pac has had a big couple of years and especially the last year since fighting Diaz, you would understand him wanting a break, and taking one...
So I wouldn't be surprised if Pac stands on his principles and says to Arum "I told you I was taking a f'ckn break for this election, and you fully understood it, so you're being a dick head organizing this fight when you know I didn't want to fight during this time.."
And I wouldn't blame Pac for that.... Even though I want him to fight, but he will already feel it is completely NOT on his terms by Arum coming in and breaking all his plans with trying to schedule a fight during this time..

No buddy. Every article that I've read on the subject states the same thing: Floyd agreed to Arum's terms. It's all on Pac now. The discussion was always in regards to March. Now that push comes to shove, Pac doesn't like the date and wants the 60/40 split. This is BS.
I hope that all of the Mayweather-haters saying that Floyd always runs from fights, can finally admit that Floyd does want to fight the best. It's Manny and Roach who are running with their tails between their legs now.

March 13th is a bit early TBH. Pac only just fought Cotto and his ear was all busted up. The guy deserves a couple of months off before getting back into another hard camp. I much prefer the May 1st date really. Both fighters can be at their best with no questions asked. Maybe Mayweather can go the UK and have that eagerly awaited bout with Matthew Hatton in the meantime. It would keep his coffers filling up, which is all he really cares about anyway.

good point.everybody is blinded now because mayweather said he wants to fight.but under what terms we dont know. but what better way to make a fighter look bad than trying to fight him when hes not available. like trying to fight him 3 months after a big fight when he knows the other guy has not recovered yet.
