It's definitely the new standard. You won't have to wait very long for that. As for myself, once I get my hand over a new place only for me, I am pondering to buy a HD projector and to install a kind of multimedia living room with the biggest projected screen, the only thing, if I do that, is that it has to be in a basement or something as a projector means that lightswould interfere too much with my plan.

I'm still annoyed about the travel channel not being in HD, and I won't be made fun of for liking the travel channel.

HD just costs sooooo much not only to film in but to broadcast in, it's a hell of a lot of work and with the economy the way it is the transition to where every channel has HD will likely be way slow.

HD is class. Especially for watching sport on.

Problem is, when you've spent a good few months watching most sport in HD, when you find yourself in a situation where you have to watch SD it just looks really shit.
