I got to say I disagree with this decision.

wtf?
The ring have him as number 1I can see Bute is going to get on my tits as much as the Nonito Donaire
Ok, Ring fucking Magazine, explain me this.....how THE FUCK can Bute be number 1 for beating a guy who had ALREADY been DOMINATED by Mikkel Kessler?
Sure, Bute looked good in scoring a fourth round knockout, but that fight only happened because he got KTFO the first time around and was saved by a (in CMM's carefully chosen words) piece of shit ref.
I expect what will happen now is that Bute will do nothing for a year whilst Andrade will bounce back to win a world title at 175 lbs and Bute will ride his coat tails into the Ring p4p rankings the way Donaire did with Darchinyan.
The Ring is shit, trust the hobbit's rankings, they are the only ones that make sense these days.
I see they have Sakio Bika at 5 ahead of Artur Abraham as well, are they using the boxrec computer this month?

By the way it should be as follows.
1. Andre Ward, no question he's number one, he beat the man he HAS to be top dog according to the Rings own ranking system
2. Carl Froch, Ok his last win was lucky but he's beaten three excellent fighters in a row in Jean Pascal, Jermain Taylor and Andre Dirrell. Pascal is a current world champ, Taylor a former undisputed, can someone point me to all the current world champs Bute has beaten? I think 0.
3. Lucian Bute, this is where he rightly belongs
4. Mikkel Kessler, disappointing loss to Ward, hope he can bounce back.
5. Artur Abraham, gatecrashed the division in style with his ko of Jermain Taylor last time out.
1 Ward
2 Bute
3 Abraham
Just because I thought (most of us) that Dirrell won vs Froch.
Lol!!! Is Bute promoted by Golden Boy promotions?
Now that is just silly. Bute got a good win, but it was only Andrade!
Ward and Froch should be above him really.
Nope. Interbox.
PErsonally:
Ward
Abraham
Bute
Froch
Abraham disposed of Taylor and played well with him opposite to Froch who got schooled, sparked and won because Taylor lacked of Gas. TO me, it is a major difference that explains why King Arthur should be infront of Froch.

That's the way it is, not the way it ends
They did same with Pacquiao he beats number 3 Cotto and jumps straight over number 1 Mosley and number 2 Mayweather to become number 1 in the Welterweight division.
He's beaten Kabary Salem the man who dropepd Joe Calzaghe heavily, Lucian Bute is the only one to have ever stopped him. Sakio Bika a fighter who gave Joe Calzaghe all he could handle.
Lucian Bute also beat Sakio Bika easier than anyone else has. Lolenga Mock a fighter who dropped David Haye at Cruiserweight, Donny McCrary, Dingaan Thobela, Alejandro Berrio, William Joppy, Librado Andrade x2, Fulgencio Zuniga.
He's beaten some solid opposition, not the greatest but thats not a bad list at all. Im not saying he deserves the number 1 spot, but he has some underrated wins.
As for Bilbo hold on a minute, wern't you the one agreeing with me before that Lucian Bute did indeed beat the Librado Andrade legitmately ?
This was posted by you Bilbo, i can't find your other comments. But i know you agreed with me, i think its just because people are jumping on the Lucian Bute bandwagon, like with Nonito Donaire that you don't like that fighters get overrated so quickly. But people like me have known about Lucian Bute for ages, i can show you a thread from ages ago before the Alejandro Berrio fight.
Bilbo
I agree with you pretty much Ice. It would have been a robbery just to wave Bute off and call of the fight after he had it completely in the bag like that.
Andrade left his assualt too late imo. He should have got busy earlier and as for the long count, I guess if Andrade had been in the nuetral corner where he was supposed to be the ref wouldn't have sent him back there.
It may have been a bit pedantic from the ref but you can clearly see how when he's giving Bute the count he catches sight of Andrade in his peripheral vision and tells him to go back.
It may have been over the top but if he thought Andrade was making his way to the center of the ring he had to stop him.
And it's easy for us to judge but in the heat of the moment it all happens so fast and the ref isn't a machine incapable of making mistakes.
