Right. I lost a lot of respect for Winky after he declined the rematch and started making excuses and acting like he was robbed?Originally Posted by tuckwopat
I was there at the FedEx Forum and didn't hear any of the commentary until I saw the replay this morning. I still thought that it could go either way. There was definitely a lot of crowd bias, but what does that have to do with the judges' decisions? It's not like they had anything to gain by faulting the scorecards.
Also, a lot of people are using different internet polls to somehow prove that Winky won? BS. Winky's fan base is incredibly massive in comparison to Jermain's. Of course they're going to favor Wink. The only people that really seem to like Jermain are his hometown fans.
Although I went in rooting for JT, I couldn't bring myself to boo Winky. He's one of my favorite fighters, and has been for a couple of years now. He's an obvious legend, but I think he's starting to fade away. Look at his last fight with Soliman. As sad as it may be, it was quite obvious then that Winky should soon start thinking about another direction in his career.
