Its funny how when you guys fighters loose you go so low as to blame the announcers of HBO who gave us this PPV caliber fight for free. Since we are throwing blame here on everyone except winky himself, what did Lennox Lewis, Larry Merchant and Harold Ledderman do to cause winky to only get the draw? C'mon, keep the excuses coming sore losers
I don't care. I really don't care. Personally, I thought Lennox Lewis was outstanding but Lampley wasn't calling it the way it should have been called. Simple as that.

The commentators have no bearing on teh figth, I know that but fans still don't deserve to listen to paonfully biased commentary. It has nothing to do with the fight itself, and it's not an excuse for Winky by any means, just the truth.
So you're pissed that he didn't call the way you saw it? Maybe he didn't see it the way you did. Maybe he had a better view.

The judges weren't from Memphis, the commentators weren't from memphis, and the neither fighters were from Memphis. Please keep the conspiracies coming. Hell, Lampley's the only good thing HBO has going.
Ok...listen and stop twisting my words. I like Lampley. I never said he was in on any conspiracy. I really didn't think he called the fight from an unbiased point of view. Taylor is an HBO fighter and they are probably closely affiliated. I'm not saying he did it intentionally or anything like that. I'm just saying I don't think the fight was called down the middle. I never said anything about judges. I never said anything about conspiracies. I'm not holding that against Taylor. I'm not saying this had any bearing on the fight. It's NOT an excuse for Winky only getting a draw.

I like Lampley, his voice, his excitement, his passion, his voice gives the feeling that I'm watching a big fight. But, he has his flaws. When De La Hoya or Taylor is fighting, he tends to focus more on them then the other fighter. It's a flaw but he's still a fine commentator.

Do I need to put it any clearer?
