He is a professional athlete in a sport which he knows employs drug testing, whether it was intentional or not I don't think the ignorance card should be counted as mitigation, Chavez or someone on his team should have been vetting what he's taking.

Roids or not, it's still illegal substance.

There's a test now for being gay and over rated?

I hope he's not using any performance enhancers. Why should someone need an edge against a bunch of tomato cans.

Sweet post! But I don't think he's overrated at all. No one thinks he's good...

Yeah sure, after around 40 fights he doesn't know yet which substances are good and which ones are bad, neither does his father or nobody in his team

well in all fairness diuretics arent something we ever hear much about in boxing.. everyone knows any type of steroid is a no go .. but are the rules that clear on everything else ?

The list of forbidden produces is VERY clear. Plus, we're not talking a restriction list made by some dark and obscure legislation, we're talking the Nevada Athletics Commission, perhaps the most known and famous commission for Boxing and Chavez and his team fought there quite a few times, it is not like if it was something new at all. The first thing a fighter gets handed is the little book with the forbidden stuff an on top of the list are the steroids and the masking agents, it is not like what Chavez took was the only diuretics available on the market an it happened to be illegal.
