Please forgive my ignorance, and I do not mean to hijack the thread, but what is meant by putting my head down?

Where I am going to with this is the practice of pinning your chin to your chest/clavicle as part of the fundamental form - are you saying that by doing this we are causing a possible 50 % reduction in diaphragm function?

Bingo, should never leave your chin hanging in the air, then again pinning it to your chest fucks up your mechanics on which scrap is our resident expert. Look at balanced fighters like Floyd/Whitaker and where their heads are. Most elite fighters dont have their chin way down, just tucked in a little.
