You make a lot decent points there. Think the point about the amount of governing bodies is spot on - they really do have to whittle the number of them down. I don't know if the dearth of hevyweight talent is the main problem in the lack of mainstream press exposure. As for the mayweather judah type incidents - this type of behaviour should mean severe penalties for those involved as they are in danger of inciting riots and jeopardising peoples safety. This is stuff boxing can do without.

Having said that there have been some good fights this year already and some good ones in the pipeline. I think there are enough good propects with the right attitude on the way to believe boxing is on the up these days though. Let's hope that's the case but time will tell.
