I think counter punchers are at a disadvantage versus either Klitschko....you let a Klitschko lead and it's going to be a long night because they WILL land meaningful punches and counter punching is all about avoiding those punishing blows....just my view of it.
To the brave belong all things.
OK, the main issue I have with Johnson and him being a pure "counter puncher" is that to be a counter puncher your best punch cannot be the jab. If your best punch is the jab then you MUST lead. However you should jab and then bait your opponent for a counter and then counter that....snap a jab out, drop your lead hand, wait for the right cross, roll with the punch and counter (overhand right/right uppercut) and repeat as long as successful.
At least it seems like Kevin Johnson is durable or has good defense, too bad he was just tryng to last 12
I agreed IMO ma fighter with the best chance is one that has good head movement can take shots and set a high pace...Neither Klitschko like a fast pace....
Mostly Wlad I think that would be the advantage because his stamina has always been questionable...It has improved but really how much since noone has been able to really test it by pushing him 12 rds....
Vitaly I think head movement is very important
But it is easier said then done though
