Default Jean Pascal What A Warrior.

I just caught up on his 2nd fight vs Adrian Diaconu, and i see his shoulder pop out early in the fight and in round 10. And the man fought on with a dislocated shoulder, and supposedly the corner had to pop it back in like 3 times.

And he still beat a dangerous opponent like Adrian Diaconu, what a warrior. I said a few days ago Jean Pascal had been growing on me, and i think he has improved. But after this fight i've become a fan unbelievable heart shown i salute you Jean Pascal.

Its a shame he didnt get some experience fighting live opponents before he fought Froch, I think hed beat him in a rematch now.

Ditto i think he's improved quite a bit in only a short time, i mean if you compare his fight before the Carl Froch one agaisnt Omar Pittman, and even the Carl Froch fight.

I think he looks so much better now than he did in those 2 fights, and i don't care what anyone says i think he does fight a bit like RJJ. Although obviously not as good he does have alot of natural talent, and he showed alot of heart against Adrian Diaconu.

The old saying is that when you win a world title that automatically, makes you 25 percent better and i for certain think thats the case with Jean Pascal.

And lastly if i remember rightly i thought Jean Pascal, only just lost to Carl Froch and that was mostly due to inexperience. And fighting the wrong fight, if they rematch when Carl Froch is finished in the Super Six, i think Jean Pascal for certain takes him in a rematch.

I really don't like the guy for his attitude and things he says. However, he did impress me and it is true that he did improve greatly. I don't know if it might be it but GYM (his promotor) did hire renown coach Pedro Diaz, the one who used to train the Cuban olympic team and he kinda of forced Jean PAscal to a much harder regime of life to prepare him physically, going notably into Columbia's highest mountains for the training camp. I think that this pairing with Marc Ramsey has been a very good thing for him and gave him the idea of the necessary sacrifices to win.

I don't think Jean Pascal should be rushed in with Chad Dawson, IMO he should develop a bit more. I think he'd box rings around Tavoris Cloud, i think that should be his next fight for certain, not only would he get a good win over a good upcoming American name. He would also add another title to his collection.

Then after that fight i would love to see him get a rematch vs Carl Froch, and i for certain think he takes Carl Froch in a rematch, then he should either fight Lucian Bute or Chad Dawson.

You Canadians should be proud, you got a very talented boxer in Jean Pascal that could go onto very good things. And i know Lucian Bute isn't technically Canadian, but he's been in Canada for years and considers himself a Canadian, so thats another fighter you can root for. Another fighter i think has what it takes to be the best at 168.

I need to watch this fight. I haven't seen his last 2 for some reason and I recall him having a tendancy to bend wayyy over below the waist and to one side predictably in the last one I watched, so hopefully he has changed that a bit. Is good to hear he fought well and tough.

Yea we don't have too many at the elite level of professional so anyone approaching it is a good thing for our sport here in Canada. Boxing is really growing here at the amateur ranks, where it needs to to create the pros of the future, so hopefully this is a trend for the future.

Yeah I agree, Dawson is a mean piece to eat and Tavoris would be a better choice for the moment, to give him more experience under the belt. As for Froch, I guess it will depend of what happens in the 6 men tournament but it would be interesting for him if Froch still has a belt. From what I've heard on Rds.ca, Bute is out of question as him and Pascal aren't fighting at the same weight class and his trainer, Marc Ramsay, did turn down any idea of Jean PAscal going down ever again as apparently, he did develop the kind of musculation which would make it impossible for him to get down in weight.
His raise is good for our boxing for sure but I really really dislike the guy, I will never root for him whatsoever (or almost) but his raise is definitely a good thing for us. Boxing here is in total raise, Bute sells 21-22 000 seaters no challenge in Montreal, Pascal-Diaconu did lure around 10-11 000 persons and we have a few interesting young ones coming slowly. Let's see how it pans out but boxing is very very healthy in Canada, especially in Quebec.

I think Pascal is an absolutely exciting night to be had every time man, he's one of my favourites for sure. He's a great fighter and has everything, even a slightly shaky chin to add to the equation so i'd say he'll rarely be in a dull fight. I think he would definately be well placed to take Froch in a rematch. I would love to see him in with Dawson also, I say he could push Dawson to the wire. Hell, i'd even like to see him in with Hopkins, beat either of them and then rematch Froch in Canada after the Super Six.

i am not sure I would put him in with Hopkins; Hopkins is a very clinchy cagey fighter and PAscal, though exciting and good, is a bit wide in his shots, which would be the perfect style for Hopkins to neutralize. Against Froch would make tons of sense though.

I saw a few rounds of the fight and to be honest he didnt look a great deal different, dont know whats making him more succesfull now, unless the light heavies hes fighting just arent that good?

The ast round he uses his left on its own for a bit and puts some nice punches together

It's a bit rich that such is the hate for Froch they seem to regard Pascal's defeat being due to inexperience rather Froch fighting a great fight.

I don't hate Carl Froch at all, infact before Carl Froch had the wins on his record. I was saying he was very unlucky not to get the right fights, because at that time the fight with Denis Inkin got canceled, and he couldn't seal the deal with a top fighter.

I admire that he does fight the best. But i do hate his boxing style, if you can call it that. But i admire his balls and determination, and he did have a great fight with Jean Pascal, and both men showed great heart.

All im saying is that Jean Pascal has improved now IMO, and now he's become champion he's got more experience. I think he fought the wrong fight last time, and if he uses his speed, reflexes, athletism, i think he takes Carl Froch IMO.

Actually, I prefer Froch to Jean Pascal big time for many reasons, including Jean Pascal's big mouth. Froch did win the first fight clean and right, no excuses at all, it was a kind of close fight but Froch legitimately got the W under his belt. HOwever, would he rematch with Pascal, I feel that the fight could go the other way. NOt saying it would, but most definitely, it could.

I was impressed with Pascal in the Froch fight but that injury ICB states sounds career threatening.
