Allen had a pause in action when Naazim, his father, got sick and he just came back a year or so ago. Still, it's very possible that he might just be burned out after boxing literally all his life. He's also been in a couple camps as a sparring partner instead of keeping busy with fihgts.
As for Quillin I completely agree with OumaFan, he's never found his identity in the ring and a lot of questions were raised about him in the Dinisio Miranda bout. To me, Quillin isn't going to make it as a boxer like in that bout. He didn't have a lot of amateur bouts and his best attributes are all physical, his speed, athleticism and raw power, he should be crafting his style around that but it seems like he's digressed a bit.
Joel Julio was working with Mark Breland and Pernell Whitaker for a bit and for a short time he had the fluidity and the jab that he seemingly lacks now. Could have been something but he's still going to provide the power that'll test a prospect's chin.
Agbeko just fought a better boxer then him and still gave a good showing. I'm not sure I think much differently about him now then I did then. He still has balance issues, he's always going to be there to be outboxed and Perez is just an excellent fighter.
Dimitri Pirog is OK. I don't think he has the tools to succeed at the next level.

I'll speak on Jesus Gonzalez my local guy, he was scheduled earlier this year to fight Richard Gutierrez (the guy that rocked Angulo) fight time came Gonzalez couldn't make weight and the fight got cancelled. That fight was scheduled at 154. Later in the year he had a fight scheduled at 160 he got sick and couldn't make weight for that either. It's so frustrating because he had such an amazing amatuer career 151-9. I mean he beat Andre Dirrell for christs sakes.
Arizona needs another champ, I don't know if Gonzalez can get his act together, he definately has the skills and the background, but does he have ganas? I doesn't seem like he does.
He is scheduled for a fight in February against hot prospect Fernando Guerrero, we'll see if the fight even happens if it does it's on ESPN2 FNF.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.
