So is it BJ? He's gotta be on the short list but if not him, who?

Not even so much who's the best striker exactly cause you have kicks, knees, elbows, etc., Just the boxing.
When I think of the best boxer in MMA, BJ Penn doesn't even come to mind. Perhaps it's because his greatest wins have always been submissions.

I'd say guys like Stephan Bonnar, Gregard Mousassi and a few others bring that thought to mind. There are many others that come to mind but those two stick out to me. Of course, Chuck Liddell has to be mentioned when the conversation is "boxers in MMA" just by his dominance in the cage with his hands from the past.
I think BJ is the best boxer in MMA..... I have to disagree with the above comment. Yes most of his wins have been via submission, but that's only after he has knock his opponent down from his boxing. He really is a crisp boxer which has great defense

Lil Nog won a Pan Am Games title in boxing and it is very good, watch the Shogun fight from Pride and see that he has good power also.

Bj as it said has a great jab, chin and on pure boxing there are not many that can go with him for five rounds of stand up, in a pure boxing match i think he would beat St Pierre.

Machida is good but i feel like he would lose some of his elusiveness in a ring and ive seen videos of Anderson and am not massivly impressed!

    Overall im going with BJ!!
