Why the talk as if he has already vacated it? The news isn't all that credible.. it doesn't even provide a source. Who's to say Maidana's camp didn't start the rumour off?

I would rather see Khan in with the likes of Malignaggi or Diaz anyway. Not as big punchers, but IMO more credible names and overall better punchers. Sure Maidana can bang, but to me he looks like a fairly limited boxer.

Maidana is the mandatory...Maidana isn't fighting Devon Alexander anymore to pursue this match with Khan. His back is up against the wall.

I am the first to admit I think Khan is going in the right direction with them cherry pickin his fights, but when he gets in with someone who can bang its going to be lights out. Eventually he will have to step up to the plate and the true will Khan will be shown on the canvas

So let's theoretically say that Khan takes on Maidana and outboxes him to a UD.

What is the excuse then? Maindana is a crappy unworthy fighter that was exposed? Khan is on steroids? Khan is lucky? Khan should have fought someone else?

I'm not a even a fan, but if he beats a big puncher that's a top 10 in the rankings as in something like Ring Magazine. How much credit does he deserve?

For me, it is the first legit fight I give him credit for and it truly will show how much he has progressed going up against a puncher. Even though I don't care what anyone says he has to avenge that embarrassing KO brought on by Prescott.

It's been done before mate. The same people who thought Kotelnik was a tough fight quickly changed their minds afterwards. Maidana would be the same. He won't get proper credit until he beats someone like Bradley. That's when the steroid claims come out

Just kidding about that last bit.
