If Khan doesnt fight Maidana him and Warren are a fucking joke, HBO want the fight Goldenboy want the fight its quite a big fight in reality but watch Franky swerve it cos he knows Khan will get his head taken off his shoulders.

That's the thing though. It's a joke if he doesn't fight him but it means little if he beats him. That's why i can understand Warren not really wanting the fight (as speculated). If you're going to get sparked it might aswell be in a fight where you're the underdog. Hatton got ko'd by Mayweather but he still got his fight with Pacquiao. Somehow i doubt he would if Castillo had ko'd him.

Khan has already had the misfortune of being KO'd by an complete unknown so to risk doing it again against Maidana (who isn't known to the mainstream sports fan) would probably be career suicide. In an ideal world he'd take the fight but when the risk far outweighs the gain, the chances of the fight happening will always appear slim.

Surely though, if you honestly think he'll get his head taken off, why wouldn't you give him credit if he beat Maidana? I mean that would be double standards of ICB proportions

    Just kidding ICB.

Khan would deserve credit if he beat Maidana.

Seriously are you one of Khan's entourage?? I havent seen a thread about him where you have defended him.

Secondly imo he gets sparked by Maidana yes, but why would I give him credit for beating a guy who is a limited fighter who has already been beaton by a guy Khan schooled over 12? It's not double standards at all, the fact of the matter Khan wants to proclaim he is a world champ he needs to take on the challangers who are deemed good enough to fight for his so called world title, like I say this situation was good enough for him in his last fight when they guy offered no threat at all.

You say Maidana is not mainstream but Salita was? Maidana was just on the second biggest PPV event of 2009 and in one of the best fight's of the year v Ortiz I think that alot of boxing fans know what Maidana is capable of and like I said HBO and Goldenboy want the fight proves that the fight is good business for Khan and Warren.

How long do they want to proctect his glass chin for? If he was still at a level where he was fighting contenders fair enough but if he wants to be known as a world champ he needs to fight all comers now not hand pick fighters who couldnt knock a wank out.
