IDK about your hips, but you could work on your core for more power during rotation. Things like russian twists may help. Google it.![]()
Theres loads of Hip stretches, some of them actually work. The problem is identifying why they are not Flexable, there are a lot of major muscles attached to that come into play in that area. Be carefull. Get someone who understands walking Gait all the clues can be worked out from it.

I doubt flexibility is the primary cause of failing to employ your hips in your punches. To improve your technique, start your punch from your feet, meaning that you should sharply turn the heel of the foot on the same side with which you want to punch (left heel for left hand, right heel for right hand). Second, ensure that your knees are bent to lower your center of gravity; a lower center of gravity makes rotation easier. Finally, you should be on the balls of your feet to maintain balance.
Most fighters do not strengthen their hips, preventing them from maximizing their power. The best lift to strengthen the hips is box squats. Excellent demonstrations of the lift can be seen on elitefts.com and defrancotraining.com.
