I have already sensed from the day this fight was negotiated that there will be problems in both sides.
I honestly believe that Mayweather is afraid of Pac ( just as he was afraid of Cotto and Margarito) so this fight may not happen.
I never thought that a simple drug test would be an issue for this fight to be called off.
Pac's camp should have offered a closer day for the random testing like 7 days before the fight. They could have rightfully blamed Mayweather for putting this fight off. Seven days would not be enough for pac to cheat if he is really juicing. Seven days would also give Pac enough time to recover from the blood letting. It's either Pac is really juicing or he's too proud (and too stupid) not to accept Gayweather's demand. Damn your pride Pac!
Anyway, we won't really know who's to blame as Mayweather immediately shut off any door for negotiation when he didn't budge with his demand to do the random testing ( even minutes before the fight!!!).
If Mayweather was really interested, he could have offered a closer day for random test. But no, Golden Boy even could not convinced him to make a concession.
Whew. This fight is making me insane.![]()

Mayweather offered a window of 14 days for the blood testing. He wasn't even asking for the 7 that you think is reasonable. He was asking for 14 days, which is even more breathing space for Manny. And Manny has seemingly turned that down.
It is insane and highly suspicious. And you have to keep returning to that question. Why is Manny having so many issues with a random blood test? The man is acting up something rotten and sure isn't acting very innocent.
Manny is the one who has turned his nose up at the fight. Not Mayweather. No excuses from the Pacfans please. Mayweather offered even more than he should have, and Manny shrugged his shoulders.
We have no fight because Manny Pac is either juicing and it's all hit too close to home or else he is scared. Franky, it's difficult to look at it in any other way. There is no reason to refuse a 14 day window if it's all about a reluctance to give blood and the worry that it might affect his performance.

You guys all really beleive that cover story crap! I want 24 days! no, I want 14 days. Give me a fukn break! Two days of mediation under a binding gag order and the first thing out of the meeting they go to the media and say we can't agree on testing shit. Riiight!
TWO FUKN DAYS! A year from now we could look back at this thread......

Mayweather blames bout collapse on Pacquiao - Boxing - Yahoo! Sports
sorry miles but the story about the 14 days limit is just rumors. Mayweather wanted an olympic drug testing up to the day of the fight. If he really wanted to fight Pac he could have compromised. I'm blaming the two camps for not doing their best to settle this and I can't put all the blame on Pac.
anyway, the negotiation is still open. if mayweather wants the fight he can still call for another negotiation and insist on a random drug test 14 days before the fight.
the way i see it, the golden boy staffs were trying to persuade him to compromise but he wouldn't budge with the olympic drug testing (drug test up to the day of the fight). Mayweathe didn't even tried to compromise. So partly, the fault can be attributed to him.
Pac and Mayweather should set aside their pride to make this megafight.
The boxing fans deserve to see this fight.

no it was up till 48 hours before the fight, more than enough time for your body to replace that blood taken, lets not forget floyd would be taking the same tests and he doesnt run the USADA, its not like he could just decided five minutes before the fight to whip the needles out and take some blood
Here is how you know it's not Bruce.
Yesterday, the Mediator, Daniel Weinstein, issued a statement correcting Top Rank's factually incorrect statements about GBP & Haymon accepting the deal. He is legally obliged to issue corrections to any factually incorrect information put into the public domain by EITHER side.
The link can be found in this thread http://www.saddoboxing.com/boxingfor...-pacquiao.html
Notice that he has not issued any corrections regarding Mayweather's statement.
