Ruiz should be demolished in this fight....look at what RJJ and Toney did to him and now he's facing a bigger guy. Unless Ruiz has developed the skill to stop a counter right cross with something other than his face it should be an unspectacular loss for John Ruiz.

(notice I only commented on John Ruiz)

Haye should take Ruiz out within a couple of rounds.

Seriously doubt that Ruiz hasnt been stopped since 1996 and that was by one the most brutal punchers we have seen David Tua. No way Haye stops him in a couple of rounds.

The euphoria in the UK from the valuev fight really suggests to me haye needs a knockout victory here to carry the bandwagon on

Ruiz is the kind of guy that can make you look real ordinary. To the common boxing fan you`d suggest this to go the distance. But the masses wanna see blood and a sell out o2 arena will not take kindly to haye running his way to a 12round decision nor will the national media

I see Haye being more willing to stand and trade. It's not like Ruiz has dynamite in his hands. He's got a good chin, but they don't get better with age. If he's been knocked out before it can happen again. Anyone notice how Ruiz looks like an entirely different human being than how he looked when he fought Tua? David punched him so hard he changed his identity.

FYI, Tua was the last heavyweight with any power than Ruiz fought

All ANYONE (especially someone considering themselves a "Prime, true heavyweight, power puncher") has to do vs John Ruiz is slip and throw the right cross, examples

    RJJ
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZGPqkQmJTYY

    James Toney
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LDrFQtbM2rc

If John Ruiz doesn't get KO'd I would be surprised and I would laugh at the people pulling for the other fighter. The fight should end in Ruiz being KO'd before round 7

Exactly. I think all the boxing followers will be well aware of Ruiz's style, and how he's not going to provide the most entertaining of bouts if it goes the way he wants it.

However, the casual fans, and those who have seen Haye demolish opponents, and rattle the Rock from the Bloc (they should have had me helping with the PR for that one!) will want, and expect to see Haye blast through Ruiz to set up the bout with the Klitschko's that everyone is looking for. A 12 round hug-fest will probably give Haye a decision, but it may turn off a lot of people who tuned in to see Haye beat Valuev.

Ruiz is made for Haye to look good. Haye will just need to make sure he does not injure himself, take his time and batter Ruiz in the process. Made to order for Haye.

I was thinking the same thing...and Ruiz was caught cold in that fight more then anything (well besides the shot that almost ntook his head off his shoulders)///

But age and inactivity can do things to guys....Would be funny as hell if Ruiz won a UD in boring fashion

Haye will have too much fire power to finish Ruiz early on.It was mentioned that Haye will go in and unload on Ruiz and quickly get the main fights with the Klitchco's!!

Haye wants nothing to do with either of the Grimm Brothers......He had an opp to face each one and it fell apart....Hell Vitali would meet him in an alley behind the local pub if Haye wanted to.....

Haye is waiting for them to age a bit more before he tries for either brother
