That thread had some interesting averages.

BDO last 8 average
89.77
PDC last 8 average
99.00
BDO last 4 average
93.98
PDC last 4 average
97.12

This year the divide in class between the two really stood out. As I said earlier, the BDO are down to about 4 players that could potentially be top 32 in the PDC.
I think Chisnall is the most likely player to succeed Taylor at the moment. He just needs to sort out those nerves, which he will in time (This was his first time being in anything like that kind of sitaution)
Blimey, that's a big shout mate. Chisnall is clearly a top player but I didn't think looked anything special.

He never got his average out of the 90s for any match. Younger guys like Wade and Lewis are consistent 100+ average merchants. And in Wade's case a proven big time winner.

Also, a good run at Lakeside doesn't guarantee success. Jelle Klassen has never made the semi of a PDC TV comp and spent the last couple of years ranked between 30 and 40. Webster had had a shocking year on the PDC curcuit before the worlds.

Maybe you are right, but at the moment i'd be surprised if he was a top 10 player within the next 5 years.
Yeh, here what you are saying mate and you are probably right but I just have a hunch about Chisnall! He had a 97 average against O'shea BTW, fuck knows what is average was for the last 4 sets

Wade and Lewis both are guilty of not always taking matches seriously
enough, but are still both quality. By now I would've expected Lewis to have been very close to Wade and Barneveld, but he's lost ground because he got ahead of himself. Looks like he has got his head right now
though.

Nice to see another dart fan on here. I used to be fanatical about darts, but haven't seen a lot of the PDC tournaments over the past couple of years because I haven't got Sky Sports.
