Whoever doesn't give Berto a chance is either mentally challenged or doesn't follow boxing.

Come on the kids got a good shot.
We've seen him go 12 hard rounds so he's def. got stamina.
The kids loves to fight and as he's shown he doesn't back down.

The only question I have is, is he smart enough to figure out SSM's plan?

He's still not skilled enough to beat SSM IMO. Shane is older but still and elite fighter... He's still near the top of the list of Welters in the world and took out Margarito with reckless abandon last year. Although Berto beat Urango handily, he was very tentitive which I was fine with, cuz I'm a Berto fan and I know how hard Juan hits but if he thinks he can play the waiting game and hold Mosley he's sadly mistaken... He won against Collazo in a fight many thought he lost(I was not one of them. I had Andre winning by 1 pt)... Though I thought Berto showed alot of growth in that fight. Mosley is too smart for him at this stage in Berto's career. He has the tools but I don't think he'll be able to do it.

What's happened in Haiti will have one of two effects. Berto will either be completely distracted & caught up on fight night & will lose badly, or he will use it to pull out the performance of a lifetime & batter Shane.

(For those who don't know, a lot of his family are in Haiti & he's still currently unsure of their safety)

I think he's got the character that he'll produce a great performance.

Not me...must be the paint chips.I have yet to be convinced of his many 'improvements' over last few and although he is a willing, naturally talented athletic guy...he's also a very flawed fighter still learning guy with things to exploit for an aged VERY deep Mosley. There is no room against Mosley for on the job training and I dont see the consitency and execution in Berto to topple an even long toothed Mosley.Good against Urango but all about styles and flat deep water experience I belive.I think Mosley gets him out of there late.

Berto is faster imo. But I'm not sure if his chin is gonna hold. He could win by a decision.

Bad fight for Berto because Shane has great stamina and a solid chin. Even at this stage of Sugar Shane's career, he can still take out these young guns. A make or break it fight for Berto.
