Not even sure what to say about this fight. I wonder if Manny can stop Clottey? No one ever has and everyone knows these African fighters are very hard to stop. Can Clottey keep up with Manny's work rate? Judging by Clottey's last performances, I say no.
That's exactly why he was chosen.
I was hoping more for a bout against Yuri Foreman and when I heard Team Pacquiao say Yuri was too big, I thought to myself but he is not a big puncher but he did pretty well against Daniel Santos and I think something about that fight did not sit well with Team Pacquiao and maybe it was the fact that Santos is also a South Paw and Yuri did fairly well all things considered that Santos is like a part time fighter

Santos looked like he was 50 years old in that fight, Foreman really doesn't have any power, but Santos' movement was so bad Foreman was consistently getting full leverage on it.

I don't think it would be shocking if Clottey won. But I just can't see Clottey keeping up with Pac. Pac will be in and out before Clottey opens up. Sure a lot of punches will be blocked but Clottey waits for his turn to punch and that is exactly the wrong kind of fight you want to bring against Pac. And yes Africans are very durable but I think its reasonable to see Pac wearing Clottey down something like a DLH fight but probably late in the fight. I like the fight but Pac should win.

I just cant see how Clottey wins? He has not enough power or workrate to worry Manny should be easy 12 round win.

I really have lost all interest in Manny. He is a cheat in my head now and it doesn't matter how much he grins like an imp, the image is still in my head. I hope Clottey takes Manny's blood with a syringe in round 1 and proceeds to head butt him to death, but this might be wishful thinking on my part. I'm not all that interested in this fight now. To walk out on a mega fight over a silly blood test to fight the guy that lost to the guy you just beat? It's all rather deflatory.

I'll probably say the same thing about Floyd unless he fights Mosley.

Head butts, it's Clottey's special move.

    Agree with Miles.

I became a fan of Pac after the destruction of Cotto, especially because I thought he would lose against ODH and Hatton. I wanted him to kick Floyds ass. Now I am not sure about him at all.

Floyd has to fight Shane, no excuses. I do not think wither fighter will fight Pac Man ever!
