    Default Finally (Lopez - Luevano/Gamboa - Mtagwa)

after all this non stop drama we get a good card Saturday. Not that I think the drama will end but its about time for some actual boxing.

    Gamboa/Mtagwa and Lopez/Luevano

    Picks?

And assuming Lopez and Gamboa win (which is not even close to a sure thing IMO) is Lopez/Gamboa next? They certainly seem to be building towards that.

Im really looking forward o this card as well. 2 future possible P4P guys on one card against 2 more than capable opponents equals good fights. I hope that Juanma and Gamboa win tho because i want to see them fight each other soon.

...anything without the names mayweather or manny p these days is fight enough for me. I usually don't care who wins these fights but this week i will be pulling for luevano to win. I think he's gonna get his ass stomped but it'd be cool to see him pull it off somehow.

Who I want to see win?
I want to see Mtagwa win
And I would also like to see the kid from La Puente Califas win.

I don't like Gamboa all that much but it looks as though it's a fight he can win against Mtagwa but who knows? Not me.

Lopez vs Mtagwa II is must JML was almost taken out by Mtagwa and they still gave the fight to JML.

Not sure about the JML vs Luevano but it should be a good fight.

Two title bouts, let's get it on!

I certainly hope so. Lopez and Gamboa would be a dream matchup. I would pay $50 and throw a fight party for that fight. I think Gamboa beats him. He is already explosive. Gamboa has settled down and is learning to pick the right times to go in. This version would be some trouble for Lopez and I think he will pull it off.

I don't think Lopez-Mtagwa was a bad decision really but he certainly got beat up late.

As far as picks, I've got Gamboa UD, and I haven't totally made up my mind on Lopez-Luevano, Luevano's pretty smart, probably leaning towards Lopez though.

Agreed...lets just ring the bell already.Feels like we've all been glued to an over dramatic Spanish soap opera for while now.

Take Luevano to get off the mat and Dec Lopez.Gamboa...frankly I think he has a big L due him soon, but not sure lion hearted but punch-sponge Mtagwa is the one.Do think Gamboa will be there to receive and may rush in for glaring oppurtunities...making it no gimme.

The bookies have Gamboa-Mtagwa as a virtual mismatch. Anyone that fancies Mtagwa needs to get their money out. You have tremendous value.

I think Lopez will stop Luevano. Nicky Cook gave Luevano a decent fight (ignoring the 20 knock downs), I would back Lopez to KO Cook inside two. So on that beyond basic reasoning Lopez wins by stoppage in 6-10.

maybe because Juanma did enough to win it , he outboxed Mtagwa for 5 of the first 6 rounds, and the fight was back and forth from then on plus Lopez scored like 2 knockdowns, i had it about 116-113 Lopez

This had nothing to do with the fact that you are purto ricon?

Tell me how you scored the last two rounds on this fight please?

I also don't remember Mtagwa being down but I remember him falling once or twice or Lopez hanging and pushing down on Mtagwas head forcing him down.

What rounds did Lopez clearly knock down Mtagwa in again?

nope, i'm constantly giving Lopez flack, and amazingly enough i felt Trinidad lost against DLH

i had the 11th 10-9 for Mtagwa and the 12th 10-8 for Mtagwa

and Lopez dropped Mtagwa in the 10th i think, and i'm not sure but i think he did also in one of the early rounds, or it could have been he just rocked him, not sure, but i think it was a pretty clear win on points for Lopez, if it were a 15 rounder no doubt Mtagwa would have stopped him

All right, fights are almost here, if the forum stays real slow, I say we use the chat room. I've finally decided to see what it looks like in there.
