Re visit to Ottke v Reid

Hahahah makes me laugh this how the hell can this ref still be involved in boxing is beyond me, at the time of the fight I remember watching it ready to throw the TV out of the window.

Now I look back and just baffles me how this sort of shit can go on in such a massive sport as boxing, and people wonder why Germany has such a bed rep.

Reid gets warned in this round for punching Ottke in the face, he gets a point deducted for Ottke charging in with his head and holding, and is warned to stop holding by the fat cunt when Ottke came charging in head first.

It was a disgrace but people have said the decision wasn't as bad, as it was made out to be, although i haven't really got the urge to watch it again. I may check it out again to see if it is indeed closer than i remember. But it doesn't change the fact the ref was a disgrace end of.

Il be honest mate the decision was pretty close but the reason for that was Reid just was disilusioned after the 7th/8th round he just basically gave up, you couldnt blame him. I think i had it 115-113 Reid.

It was a joke of a fight.

this fight was on the same night as the Hatton - Tackie fight... i drove from the Manchester M.E.N like a madman to get back for that one on TV as i had a big bet on Reid winning... i was well pissed off with that ref he still reminds me of the guy from chitty chitty bang bang thou

i also lost money on the hatton fight as i picked him to lose via KO

I think there was some sort of complaint but nothing came of it, I also forgot to mention in that round Reid dropped Ottke but the ref reacted as if nothing happened, Ottke rode his luck alot in his career but this was the biggest joke of them all.

Watch the first knockdown of the fight, the first of Robns career, Lacy hits him while Reid is turned away and talking to the ref, the ref called stop about 3 times, Reid turns to him, Lacy looks at the ref then turns to Reid and sees him talking to the ref then Lacy smashes a right hook on the side of his head.

Lacy should have been disqualified for it and just to prove how bias refs are against Reid, the dopey ref actually gives Lacy a hand up when he goes down and to prove a ref shouldnt do that, it was either just before or just after but during Tysons bout with Mc Bride, Tyson sits on his ass and doesnt have the energy to pull himself up, so puts his hand out to the ref for a hand up but the ref says he cant help him.

Lacy was a priick for that.

This instance as well as that stupid bastard who referee'd the Rocky Juarez vs. Zahir Raheem fight years ago, is one of the worst refereeing I've seen before.

maybe but i had never seen reid beaten up so bad and at the time i remember thinking wow Lacy is the real deal... strange how opinion and time changes your mind
