Would he have let's say just an average punching power, some of his defeats could have gone in all another way but this lack just can't earn him respect.
    This

Mallignagi gets a raw deal because of his power. And he is one tough, tough bastard. For all the talk and gimmicks he comes in to the ring with, he is still a skilful and tough fighter.
Ok he's outspoken but most what he says is true. Like when he was hurt by herman ndoujou, in the interview he asked if it looked bad. Now that's honesty..he didn't beat around the bush to make himself look good or give excuses.
I picked him to beat hatton because i felt that he would have been more offense minded. He was too negative in that fight and hatton loved it.
I still don't think he's a gate keeper just yet.
I totally agree with you. He has everything required to be a champion except that damn power. Gate keeper? Not yet. A very dangerous folk to fight.

Then he whines about the 1st Diaz fight having accepting GBP's deal knowing full well about the disadvantages.

Whatever happened to hard Italian guys like Gatti, Antuofermo, Marciano? Less talking more fighting Paulie.

paulie lost out a 115-112 decision to one of the best fighters puerto rico has ever produced who arguably has only ever been beaten by alleged cheats, got beat by a far superior fighter in hatton who exposed his lack of physical presence and got robbed 1st time round thanks to home town judging.

He hasnt let a single fighter bully him to date despite the fact he has been fighting A level opposition for 3-4 years now. To suggest the guy doesnt back it up in the ring is harsh to say the least.
The guy was never an elite fighter. Everyone in boxing and fans knows that. Are you suggesting that Paulie is an elite fighter? Hell the first Diaz fight was close, close fights are no robbery but everyone calls it an robbery because of 1 bad scorecard. The guy probably doesn't even have power to knock out strawweights. What does it say when even chinny Amir Khan is considering fighting him? The guy is quickly becoming an gate keeper at 140.
If his hands were made out of anything sturdier than baked play-do he would be an elite fighter.

I dont know why it was Bert Sugar, the boxing historian, who impressed me a tad little bit more than Malignaggi in this video clip.

Maybe the old gentleman, comparared to the young boxer, was a little easier to understand with his straight talk, as more times than not, if one is used to common sense, bullshit is really a hard sell! LOL.
