First fight is quick in the making I thought you said in some post you have only just started boxing?

Got a feeling if I said what I'd be tempted to try you could run into trouble.

I like to answer most stuff right out of the left field and leave the obvious answers aside. not cause Im against the true line, just like to try out different stuff and open minds up to what can and cant work.

I think its great to see that some very different things work only in different situations; but at this stage maybe you should be working with what you have been taught first.

I would firstly be doing that, IE: trying to put his long left arm in between me and his right arm so that right hook swing or cross isnt comfortable for him to get off without him turning into trouble. Id be trying to take his left arm first then moving into my own range with it covered or being moved into the way of his own right.

Then again if you can get inside his arm and move out bodliy in that same direction you willopen him up like a can of worms and be on the inside ,but you have to have that right of his covered cause it will come.

What the hell ; Then there is the other way totally. This guy is going to be trying to keep you at a distance with his longer reach and jab you out of your own range and he will try and sit in behind it until you make a blue and step into range of his right, and you say he will swing the right or hook if he moves closer. Only if its a sure fire habit of his or only if you can really read the difference between a straight cross and a swing getting launched.
I was imagining the size of this bloke . imagine that if your guard is automatically up against his right hook and you ( face forwards towards his head) the hook can still come around your arm.
If you face the hook as it comes and meet it with your guard you have stopped it dead it cant come around your forearm. So if you are moving in that same direction right as you do it, you also open them up bodily.
That is very dangerous cause your right temple is being exposed to his other hand (which is now loaded again), so you launch your right through its path and have your head down behind your shoulder as you do both knees bend. You are then low and coiled on the inside of his arms, inside his long reach , with your foot correction then left hip turn as your left hand fires in behind your right hand as you come up ; Well its on nose to nose isnt it and he has to adjust cause his reach is longer and your in the key hole ripping uppercuts and all types of havoc on him.
