Wlad by KO in 7
I have a feeling once Eddie gets tagged by Wlad's one-two he'll go back into his shell. After that it's just a matter of time.
Yeah because that's what he always does...that's how youget a record of 53 wins and 47 KO's, by NOT finishing guys
See it's that kind of stupid unsubstantianted bullcrap I hate...sure he didn't press Rahman or Chagaev and he was trying to chase down Sultan but #1 You just can't expect Pacquiao-Hatton every single fight and #2 It's hard to KO someone who is only looking to go the distance....I mean sometimes you catch them but sometimes they never let the window open for a power punch to land. Wlad tried, he almost had Sultan and what should have been a knockdown in like the 9th round or so but the ropes saved Sultan and he continued to crouch and run.
Also Wlad is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't vs Ray Austin "Oh man that was boring" vs Chagaev "oh man that was boring" vs Tony Thompson "oh man that was boring"...you KO a guy with one of the hardest left hooks ever HEARD and then box the ears off and eventually stop the UNDEFEATED #3 heavyweight (at the time) in the world and stand toe to toe with a guy bigger than you that's a southpaw and never been KO'd and stop him all people do is bitch about it. It's called DOMINATION bro, and if your opponent isn't up to snuff sometimes it does seem a little tedius and a little unfair but to watch it happen it's still never the less impressive.
Drago, no one is making you watch the fight so shut your pie hole!
Wlad's got one of the highest KO percentages in all of boxing and he gets called boring. I just don't get it. You display power, defense and ring smarts and dominate EVERYONE who comes your way and it isn't exciting? Klitschko always shows up ready, has never been out of shape and even dropped weight to be faster for an opponent and there is no credit. I think half the reason I came around to Wlad was because so many ppl hate him. He either beats guys up or puts them in a shell until the fight is over. The other guy has a responsibility to fight too and so far his opponents haven't been up to task. I guess Wlad should be charging across the ring and hammering away at guys with windmill punches.
.....ok outside of the Sam Peter fight when has Wlad held too much? In the Sam Peter fight Wlad was still getting used to a new style of boxing due to his new trainer Manny Steward and he was lacking confidence at the time as well....that fight came probably when Wlad's confidence was near the lowest of his career: Loss to Sanders, loss to Brewster, uninspired TD vs Williamson where he was badly cut and knocked down....and he comes out gets knocked down 3 times (with questionable punches) but gets up each time and DOMINATES Sam Peter.
I don't care if you don't think Wlad is the greatest or if you don't think he's exciting but he is THE talent in the heavyweight division and as good as other fighters are (and there are some solid ones out there) Wlad is head and shoulders above them.
.....also why the hell would Wlad allow Eddie Chambers on the inside? It makes no damn sense, it's Wlad's 81" reach vs Eddie's 75" reach and Wlad LOVES to fight on the outside so why the fuck would he allow for holding? And it ain't like Eddie is a bull in there cutting off the ring and stalking down his opponent. So I'll just tell you the clinching isn't going to happen and hasn't really been an issue since the Peter fight so drop it
Unless Chambers is going to begin doing something he hasn't before he's going to be content to stay on the outside and keep from getting knocked out. He's going to look for an opening that will never come and lose an extremely lopsided decision or get hurt and put down.
Every guy who beat Wlad MOVED. Chambers is very stationary, relying on his handspeed to make things happen. He's going to get punched in the belly until he can't take it anymore.
I do feel for the Klitch's a bit, they have between them beaten all oncomers over the years, yet because the people around them seem to have no game plan other than to stand and get one-two'd it makes them look bad.
You can't stay at the top for that long without being very, very good.
It's just a shame that anyone who I have seen in the build up and thought to myself "this guy can bang!, he's going to rock the big guy" has turned up and just picked up the script of every other Klitch victim.
Stand there, cower, get pummulled, be chuffed to try and survive 12 rounds.
Can't remember that last guy to come and have a real go or show any sign they have the confidence to win from the start.
This fight will be no different I'm sure
That said, I can't wait till Haye beats one of them
I think the last one was Sam Peter against Wlad. The last for Vitali was Lennox. Both those fights were YEARS ago.
