USA is looking good for the most part, had some issues with passing earlier.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

Miller is still making impressive saves.

Have to say, I enjoyed that and not just cause we won. It was non stop for long periods of time. Maybe we shouldn't outlaw hockey.

They probably beat the fuck out of us if Brodeur's our goalie and Millers their's though.

I only caught the last 10 minutes of the game, but from what I saw Miller was outstanding. Like I said earlier in the thread, he's been the best goalie in the NHL this year and so far he's the best goalie in the Olympics. In a short single game elimination tournament like this one, a hot goalie makes all the difference. Canada, on paper, is a better team than the U.S. and from what I heard on the radio and saw they outplayed the Americans (if not by a huge margin), but Miller stole the game.

I hate to say it, but Canada might be fucked now. They'll shit-hammer the German's, but the Russians are considered one of the top two teams in the tournament (Canada being the other) and now they'll meet in the Quarter-finals.

I hope Luongo starts from here on out, because from what I've read Brodeur shit the bed tonight.

Granted I'm not a hockey expert but he seemed to shit the bed to me. I don't know if the fourth goal or the first was necessarily his fault, they may have been, but the second goal, and especially the third goal, after Canada looked to be kicking ass, seemed like a gigantic fuck up to me.

He for some reason leaped out to try to get the puck, he was on the ground like four or five yards outside his net and it got by him and then it was just a matter of getting it past a Canadian player.

Flailing around, looked like a giant penguin or a jellyfish.

I googled a hockey forum called hfboards and all the Canadians seemed to think Brodeur was a giant fuck up.

That is the NHL forum I occasionally post on. I usually just stick to the Canucks board there though as people are idiots on the main board.

I can't really comment on Brodeur as I only saw the 5th goal, but Miller outplayed him and that is unacceptable for a team which is expected to win gold. Brodeur has been considered the best goalie in the world for a decade now, but IMO he's starting to lose it. Luongo needs to get the start against Germany and Russia.
