I think that Paul showed a lot of promise in the early part of his career. He was a very talented boxer, but wasted it all with booze, drugs and a bad lifestyle.

Dorin really beat him and it did made a mini scandal in Quebec, I recall very well. The thing is; the guy is very very talented, no questions about it. However, it seems like often he didn't train properly an was easily dragged off the path of duty by some more than questionable friends. What he does worth now, I am really not sure, inactive for so long, wasting golden years in jail or rehabilitation, we'll just see but I think that we'll never convincingly know how good or not he really was due to his misdemeanors outside the ring.

Look Floyd... the perfect example of an undefeated record meaning sh*t. I thought Dorin beat him! I'm sure Whitaker is still working with him. Won't be long before someone catches up to him!!!
The Best There Is, The Best There Was, The Best There Ever Will Be
Didn't he have a life and death fight were he was knocked almost out (or knocked down) a bunch of time and got a Dempsey style long count? Was that the Sosa fight you're all talking about? Sorta like the Bute fight, dominated the entire fight and had a long count to finish the fight?

Ive only seen him fight a couple of times about 10 years ago and was shocked that the other fighters couldnt even think to try and get around Spaddy favoring one side type of style.
I got bored and frustrated from zero attempts at catching him off side and people fighting his fight so I havent watched him again, bit like Vic D his style should be countered better by some thinker fighter.
