Clottey isn't a demolisher, he is someone who can "beat" anyone but not do enough to "win"
I disagree. Morales didn't demolish him. He schooled him. I don't think if Pac wins, he stops Clottey. I think to beat Pac he's going to have to use his size to his advantage. Put his body on Pac, hold and hit a couple times, tax Manny's legs. If he can get him to slow down he can have more success hitting him and I think Clottey's power may be a little underrated. Manny has the tendency to stand and let an opponent get a couple freebies once or twice in a fight. Clottey has to be ready for that and go to his body. If Joshua can avoid tiring out, a tall order for sure, he has a better than okay chance at winning.

I don't think Clottey will get stopped but I said the same thing about Cotto. Clottey is a tough durable fighter but doesn't do any one thing outstanding. I think we will see a one sided contest in favor of Pacquiao. Similiar to what he did to David Diaz except knock him out.

cotto went all or nothing against margarito hence getting himself knocked out. I fully expected cotto to not take his foot of the pedal and go for broke.

Clottey has on a few occasions not excerted extra pressure in close fights which is why his lost a few decisions. Joshua will go 12

I think Clottey should be fighting Winky Wright at 154. A mirror of shells.

I think Winky was a better fighter who accomplished far more than Clottey has.

To be honest from my view, at the start I was thinking that clottey has a chance, but since I just rewatched the clottey vs cotto fight, I think paquiao is going to absolutely paste joshua clottey. Cotto at times got through clottey's guard with consumate ease with nice straight punches, I think pacman has that plus more angles and more leather. I wouldn't be surpised if clottey was out of there inside 8 rounds... If cotto can put him down with a jab then he's in for a beat down.

I don't give him much of a chance. He'll be in shape. That pretty much means he'll be able to sustain more of a beating and might be the only reason he sees the final bell.
Watching the vids at fightnews though... Even though his mittwork guy is horrible, Clottey at this point doesnt look like he could swat a fly with doormat? His hands are slow, he's winging his hooks and I wouldnt be surprised to see him hurt a hand or wrist up to or during the fight. His work on the double end ball looks pretty sloppy too and he doesn't even have to chase the double end ball. Clottey right now, looks like hes going to make it easy for Pac to go under his shots, do his work and then get out.
They want your @$$ beat because upsets make news. News brings about excitement, excitement brings about ratings. The objective is to bring you up to the tower and tear your @$$ down. And if you don't believe that, you're crazy.

It's been 3 and a half years now though, since he's done anything meaningful. The only difference I see in their styles is that Winky has a jab.
