What ever happened to Trainer Monkey ?

I thought he was a nice guy myself.

I know he trained club level fighters and his wife who was a female boxer.

    Did he get banned ?
He left voluntarily. It looked something like this:

I really don't know a whole lot about the sport.
I just started following the sport closely around 2005. (As you can clearly see in my info to the right ------> so that means I'm telling the truth)
Never boxed, never been to a gym, never even put on gloves.
The only fights I see are from YouTube.
I hope to one day catch a break and go see a fight live in person I hear it's great.
I also hope to one day be as knowledgeable and know as much as some of you. I wont list any names to not offend people but you know who you are. I know you know who you are. Especially you, yes you.

If everyone was as humble as yourself this would be a great forum but judging by what I have read just today, this place is plagued with pretentious little twerps who don't know the difference between a jab from a left hook.
I can tell you're going to be around for a long time.

    re: TM

He didn't train anyone, including his wife. Atleast he never stepped in or worked a corner with her in it. She trained elsewhere and with others near as I can recall. He made reference to being a match maker often and being on the ph all day. About traveling all over the world and how a boxer should eat when traveling. This amounted to greasy burger joints and Denny's "Cuz the road is a rough place and that is all you can afford, and if you were making the deals all day like me and knew the buis, you'd understand."

The nearest I can tell is that he knows a few people in the neighborhood who compete in the WV RoughNRowdy tough man contest, because his wife won one of them, and claimed to have them as fighters, and in such a way you couldn't ever nail him down to exactly who and where. But you can be sure their diets consisted of cheesy fries and pogo sticks...

I do know he trained Kid Thunder by the ph and e-mail, after me asking if he could give Andrew some help and keep him off the main boards after embarassing himself (Andrew) and being attacted in response to his many ridiculous assertions. So I feel a bit bad about getting that in play, but also couldn't see the harm in maybe Andrew getting a bit more fit no matter how nuts the person doing the helping was.

Then came the Mack fight, to which TM sent a PM (haha that sounds awesome TM, PM) to Mack's manager, and all of a sudden he was apparantly writing the game plan for Yusef's big match...flying so far under the radar that even Yusef and Mack's trainer John Tandy weren't aware of it.

Then came the fix. The big fight in where his wife fought some chic who by all acounts pummeled her, only to have TM suggesting it was all fixed, everything from them (the Mayweathers) stealing his corner mans credentials so he couldn't make the trip, to the judges, the matches makers and even people of that island where it was... all of them ofc in on it against...well, him.

And for all this (and much more), we eternally miss TM, aka Trainer Monkey...the most colorful person ever to grace the pages of Saddos. Or how once put by Bilbo..."the craziest backwoods hillbilly ever to hang a bag in a shed."

I don't mind admiting that I'm one of the least knowledgeable posters on here. I've always had a passing interest in Boxing as it's in the family but never really followed it like I did football. I just used big fights as an excuse to go away somewhere cool like Vegas etc. Then as my interest in cars & car Forums (Supras ) declined I started spending more time on this board.

Since then I've become quite an avid fan. I go to plenty of live boxing (got tix for the upcoming Haye bout) and watch as much as I can on TV. Like Youngblood I barely knew who Pac and PBF were when I first joined. It took me months just to figure out who people were on about when the said 'PBF'

Just from spending time on this board and not having a clue what people are arguing about has inspired me to go down the gym. I'm 30 years old and have no illusions of what I can achieve but figured learning to box would at the very least give me a better understanding of the sport I now love (and help with the ever expanding waistline).

It's this very forum that has fuelled my interest in a sport I previously didn't really care for...
