Just read that Randy Couture has 'tweeted' via his blog that he wants to the be first to fight Toney. Ouch !! That is throwing Toney to the sharks, he'd get eaten alive.

Some people say boxing is a matter of life or death, it's not, it's far more important than that.

JFAT is probably the only Heavyweight I can think of that encounters weigh-in's in the same way most other fighters do outside of the heavyweight division do... In the sense that he strips down in weight to as much as he see fit, looks pretty good at the weigh in, then BANG he blows up to JFAT proportions again.
I think that what ever he does, he'll always wind up a fat git come fight night![]()

They could always throw Toney with the other UFC fat lad, Roy Nelson.

I think that Kirkland did sum it up pretty well: It is to get the Boxing fans attention plus, they signed him for a couple of fights. The last thing they want is to burn their new well paid dog to get burn at the first occasion and to stop dragging interests. Kimbo's the perfect fit for him: Limited on the ground (though always improving), ordinary boxing, good strength and a very shit chin, nothing Toney can't crush, especially as Kimbo's days in the UFC are counted anyway. What's next? Not sure, Ortiz-Liddell winner can make sense as they are bot shot now but still drag a lot of attention, if Liddell wins, it'll be better as he has (I think) stylewise less chances against Toney than Ortiz who has a good ground game.
All in all, as much as some of us might dislike it, it was a wise move by White.
