What about:
Alexander Povetkin
Tony Thompson
Alexander Dimitrenko
Denis Boytsov
Or even Evander Holyfiled, who has not fought since he shut out Valuev.

Sosnowski isn't great but short notice maybe he's the best option. I guess this fight will be in Germany, if so it should sell well. I am not overly impressed by this choice so don't get me wrong, but sources said Vitali tried to get Valuev AND Solis and he was apparently left with no other option. I think even a faded Oleg Maskaev makes more sense than this fight.
I am sure Povetkin can dump Mora like he dumped Quinn last week or like Sosnowski just dumped Audley, for a chance at a title.
And so what if Dimitrenko and Boystov have the same trainer, do they have no plans to ever fight for the heavyweight title.
The problem with Valuev and Solis is that they know they are not going to win, and that they are simply cashing out. That is why they need to get paid well. If they had confidence in their own abilities then they would take the fight on short money, knowing that a victory will make them much more money on their next fight.
Wow.This is simply pathetic pairing for a dominant heavyweight champion. And I'm a fan.Albert has 45 wins...half of which come against guys with losing records. His biggest name scalp Stateside is a 40 yr old Orlin Norris,in a SIX rounder from what I can tell.He was not only beaten by ....pause...pause....Zuri "I couldn't hurt your feelings let alone dent your chin" Lawrence...he was dominated, out boxed, out fought and out on his feet for a moment. The fans should be payed to sit through this public sparring session but only after being given many free pints of a beverage of choice.
I think that there should actually be some sort of petition put together with regards to forcing this fight off. This just shouldn't be accepted by anybody involved in boxing aside from Albert Sosnowski himself.
lol thank you Spicoli. Again, repeat that, ALMOST STOPPED BY ZURI LAWRENCE! Maybe not but even Atlas and Tessitore were saying this could be his first stoppage win. This guy is fighting Klitschko, go back to that Lawrence fight and tell me that's possible or in any way 'fair.' Sorry Lyle and Nameless but this is calling it like it is here, this is a waste of time.
Povetkin is preparing for a fight with Wladimir and he looks like he's focused on ONLY that probably because Teddy Atlas think he's the "vulnerable one"
With Dimitrenko and Boytsov I was merely pointing out you don't see "stablemates" fight each other that often. I do think Boytsov may have switched trainers recently as Sdunek is cutting down on how many fighters he trains and that's a shame because Boytsov is a solid fighter.
I'm not trying to say this is a great fight because it simply isn't, I'm just trying to explain why Vitali had very few options right now. Honestly if he wasn't under suspension I would have LOVED to see Vitali take on Shannon Briggs, because at least Shannon would be "entertaining". Fighting Sosnowski is a waste of time, I agree, but hell who else is out there that is a viable fight?
