Would be a good move for ITV if they did. They will get tens of millions of viewers if they advertise this right.

I thought Sky had paid Khan a lump sum up front to be on Box Office. If this is correct though good stuff for boxing in britain!
Sweet! I refuse to pay for a Khan fight unless it is of significance.
This fight should actually be a good one

Mayweather will never be in a FOTY... ever. He doesn't engage, and he doesn't like to get hit. The minute he hits the canvas he is done. He has no heart.
And a Trilogy? Surely you must know that for these guys to fight each other on this level, there can only be one fight. It only took 10 years to make it happen, probably another 10 for the rematch. Is it just me, or do you see this fight going landslide for Money or KO for Mosley.
Doesn't look to good for Mosley in that case. But I'll be rooting for him all the same.

Yeah no way the fight goes live before 3am, even that's a bit too early. NY may only be 5 hours behind but west coast America is 8 hours behind, any earlier and you'll be losing viewers Stateside.
The whole point of Amir fighting in NY is to get US exposure so they definitely wont let the fight air any earlier than 3am GMT.

Great news if it is. Presuambly this means that Khan's box office PPVs on Sky didn't do well?![]()

This would make me a Khan fan for the first time he is making a good decision. The repeat would get more viewers than the whole of his fights on PPV and that will mean he will get more commercial deals because more of the general people will know him. More fighters should do this as it makes business sense.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.

Read this in the paper this mornign as well.
Will beleve it when I see it.
It will be a big boost for british boxing if it is true.

If true it shows what a nobody Froch is. ITV completely pulled out of boxing with Hennessy.
If I remember right, Naz-Kelly went off around 1am UK time from MSG (8pm New York). Considering Khan-Powderpuff ain't a BIG fight in the states it wouldn't be out of the question to bring it forward.

This is great news if true. I also think it will do well because Khan used to get millions watching him fight tomato cans, so fighting an opponent who can actually be marketed I think it does well.
I reckon the 1am start will include a slightly longer undercard. Plus ITV will hype the shit out of it. The fact is a 1am/2am fight start isn't terrible on a Saturday night. It's the ones that start at 4am/5am people can't be bothered with.
I'm actually glad because if I go to Mitchell-Katsidis it means I'm not spending £15 on a PPV that I'm already paying for part of. As long as they keep the Ortiz-Campbell co-feature, I'd be pissed if that wasn't on there.
Amir Khan's US boxing debut against Paulie Malignaggi set for ITV screening - mirror.co.uk
this is just something i picked up browsing, but its not 100% genuine i think. I thought the khan v malignaggi fight would be pay per view but not too sure as yet. Would be great tho yes to have it on normal tv!
