Ugh, no good. Ward has hurt his knee previously playing basketball and before that it was a broken thumb that put him out almost a year. Knees are sensitive things, he just couldn't build strength in it effectively so I doubt it has to do with the HBO date.
Ah this sucks. I was really looking forward to this. I just hope it stays in Oakland so i can watch Andre again.
fightnews.com :
Andre Ward has reportedly pulled out of his April 24 SUPER SIX clash with Allan Green due to a knee injury. He will be out 4-6 weeks. The bout with Green, who replaced Jermain Taylor in the tournament, will be rescheduled.

Man...this sucks...4-6 weeks, those who said this tournament will never see its end maybe right...one boxer already out(he got replaced, but still...)and two fights already rescheduled, because of injuries...

This sucks, knee injuries never fully go away. After such a great performance against Kessler, he could fall from grace quickly if his knee doesn't fully heal.
Does anyone know more details?
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.
this is pure speculation but when I think Basketball and Knee Injury Patellar tendiniosis or tendinitis pops righty in my head
That is unfortunate for Ward.
It is beginning to seem like this tournament is cursed.
"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"
Not too bothered, the over all tourney winner will come from the other fights anyway unless ward is allowed to butt his way to victory for the entire super 6 series
one dangerous horrible bloke
No....... Guuted about this. Was looking forward to seeing Ward again......
4-6 weeks is not too much of a postponement, I am not too gutted neither worried for the moment.

That's the way it is, not the way it ends
It's bad news for sure.. I didn't give Green a chance in this one anyways, so it is definetly a drag to have to postpone what is basically a forgone conclusion rather than see Ward move closer to a more significant matchup.. Who was the winner of this one to face anywho, the Dirrel-Abraham winner?
